First picture is of course the new seats after being installed...they was removed from some Honda or something...bolt in like it was made for it! Second picture are the Junk wheels I picked up on CL that I ran down and had Powder coated and the last is what the original bumper looked like before it being powder coated

Body and paint

Had the Door jams painted, bed removed and sealed/undercoated and repaired the lite damage on the blue door. I was surprised that I was the 5th Owner on this truck. No bondo anywhere and no serious dents or rust. The Tailgate hinges was rusted through on both sides..removed the rust and installed a replacement tailgate (the old one was beat up to bad)

Wheels back from Powder Coater and amost finished

This is the end result after about 40 days of working on it
Wheels looked great..got them powder coated black. All the chrome was blacked out as the same with the back bumper. Never had one but I think its a good idea. Having it installed up high where it should be..close to the bottom of the tail gate
Door Locks Changed
Replaced Idler Arm, Centerlink, Both Inner tie rod ends
Replaced Bucket Seats, Complete Exhaust System
Tinted on Windows and replaced Rotors Pads and Calipers
Spray-in Bed Liner Power Coat both Bumpers and Wheels
Replaced the Wheels and new Tires
Painted Complete truck, New Windshield, Starter, Alternator and Coil.
I should have the Power Steering and rear sliderInstalled in the next couple of weeks

Thank you...it was an awesome start..truck was in good shape and met the right people on CL.Just wanted to get the work done to see the end result
Now I have about a years worth of CC payments to get this paid for but well worth it.
The Paint Cost was more than the normal pale Yellow paint that was originally on these trucks...I wanted the Bright Yellow That Toyota Put out a few years. Its weird driving one of the 30 yellow cars here in Oregon :-)

I bought the Square headlight rings and buckets but after seeing this completed I think that would have messed it up

This is my first..first gen Toyota Truck I've ever owned and was excited to get this together. Been working on cars for over 35 years and this was the perfect truck (great start). I don't like ugly and this was UGLY! :-)

Nice job. A friend at Church has an yellow 79 or 80 2wd shortbed he has owned since 84. i have a standing offer with him to buy it, i don't think he will part with it

Matching plates is always a plus..those are the original plates from 1981 and not as yellow :-)
I hope you're not holding your breath on that truck . I'll never sell this truck and hoping to have all wearing parts replaced before year end

Had a nasty break pull...finally got all the front brakes, rotors and pads replaced and no more pull. Sure glad these parts are still available in stores
