The arb's are gonna be awesome.
What model garmin? Thinking about a new one but haven't researched it enough yet about uploading topo maps to the newer models.
My 60csx is great but screen is small..

Lookin good man. Those square sliders are sick! They turned out amazing. That ARB will definitly make this rig.
On a side note, we are running Slaughterhouse on New Years Day. You are more than welcome to come along. Its a decent trail, should be fun in the snow.

Thanks man!
I still don't know if I'm going to install headlight hoops, but once I get more caught up on the 4Runner (and trailer) I'm going to make a single hoop just to see if I can get it to look right. I'll keep you guys updated.
The GPS is a Garmin Nuvi 3790 with lifetime maps and traffic. I have not looked into loading topo maps yet, but it would be awesome! It's on my list of things to do. I'll let you know what I find...

Not yet, I've turned it on a couple times on some back streets but that is it.
Here is a good Youtube video of the same light in action (I think he needs to aim his a little higher):

The light output in front of the 4Runner is amazing! It doesn't have the distance of my old HID lights, but those were overkill for normal trail running. For the most part they did more harm than good; they were too bright, killed my night vision and when I turned them off I couldn't see. This single light bar is much better for normal trail running and has a wall of very even light. For higher speed/desert stuff I might need to get a pair of long range HID's, but I'm going to wait and see how this works first.

Thanks Zach! Let me think about Slaughterhouse, I would love to run it with you guys (I've never ran it before) but this is my busy time of year and I need to see what my work load looks like. What time do you plan on getting started? Any idea how much snow is up there right now? We hardly have anything here.

Slaughterhiuse is my old stomping grounds. I wish I had my rig all done I would join you guys. Not a diffcult trail but with snow makes it tough on the loop. One long icy section on the way in that can make you slide off the trail if you not careful. Last time I was there the mud pits were complete dried up. Also I heard they closed or made stump hill easier. Its been a bit but dirtco your rig can handle it.

If you get the chance it would be cool to see some pics of your truck at night with the Rigid LED's on as a comparison between just head lights, the 10" by itself (if you have it wired that way) and with both on.
watching that video you posted was good and I saw a few more but am curious about your opinions...it is something I would like to do(down the road) but just a big leap $$.

Not a problem, I plan on taking some pictures and maybe some video when I get a chance. They are pricey but I feel you get what you pay for when it comes to these, and the lifetime warranty is nice. The LED's have a 50,000 hour life expectancy and the housing is all aluminum. The minimal draw on the electrical system is also a huge plus. There are a couple videos of people beating the crap out of them, even shooting them. I did a lot of research before ordering them and so far I'm happy, but I really need to use them a couple times before I give my final thoughts.

A couple weeks ago I took a trip to down to Denver in the 4Runner, and when I got home I saw what looked to be oil or grease all over the driver side tire, suspension, frame and undercarriage. After a little investigation I found out it was gear oil that had come from the front diff breather hose. I did some searching and came up with the following links of people having the same issue.

I had over filled the front diff a little (to keep the pinion bearings happy with the diff drop) but it puked the extra fluid out. I checked the fluid level and it was good, so I reinstalled my skid plate and figured it would be fine. I made another trip down to the Front Range to do some wheeling and when I got home I saw a small amount of gear oil again coming from the breather hose, this time it was just a small amount and I hardly noticed it. After reading the above links it seems that this is a pretty normal issue, especially for people using synthetic gear oil (I’m using Royal Purple) at high speeds. I also think the diff drop plays a large roll in this as well. The fluid level was right where it should be, so I wanted to keep it there and prevent it from burping gear oil under the truck (I hate leaks).
Here is what I came up with: I removed the factory breather and installed a 5/16” double sided barb, I then added a short section of 5/16” hose and installed a generic clear fuel filter. I installed another short section of hose and reinstalled the factory breather. Any small amount of gear oil that gets forced up the breather line will collect in the filter housing, and as the pressure inside the differential decreases it will run back down the hose into the diff. An extra plus is that it adds another foot or two to the height of the breather.

(along with every other mod i want to do... >_>) so i talked the wife into helping me get 5.29's for my 97 4runner and im wondering if the front is an 8" and if i decide to sas later with a 1st gen axle if i can use the same gears in the front? also anyone ahve some suggestions on brands for front and rear? i was thinking yukon in the rear and maybe something cheaper in the front if i wont be able to use it when i do the sas. please thank you ... sorry if im hijacking your thread
