YotaTech UT 2004

How many of you own UT 2004?
We gotta get a game going some weekend night.

I just got done playing on their public servers and had a blast.

I can host a game some weekend, unless someone else is on broadband too and want to give it a shot.

Here are a few pics.

Now what is really cool about the game is you push the F11 key and up pops an MP3 player.

Battling with classic Black Sabbath playing gets you in the mood to frag.
To bad the MP3s will not upload and play on the PCs that are logged into the game though.

I've been playing the demo too. Does multiplayer allow direct IP connection or do you go through some network to set up games?

You can connect right to my personal IP addy
We can also play on a public server, but we have no control over which maps get loaded, and who else comes into the game.

Sometimes they are much better servers though for speed.
There are outfits on the 'Net where you can "rent" a server and set it up as you being the admin of it, and you can host games on it.
It is a lot faster that way than me hosting it, as it is on a major backbone.

If I was back at Boeing right now, I would rent a server for a few weeks to test it out.

UT 2004 also supports real voice chat, and also what you type out to others it comes out in real words over your sound card.

We can all play on the MURC(Matrox Users research Center) Server.
They are running the Onslaught Maps - "Lots of cool vehicles"

If anyone asks, tell them you know Darth_Mahl aka ALBPM

The MURC UT2004 Server
IP - 69.93.222.150
PW - 101092 (when enabled)

Just be good censorship is turned on and you will get booted for cussing.

Putting the game back on now after my format I did last Sunday.
There is a new patch, and also an 80 mb editor's choice bonus pack with more vehicles and players.

Cool mod

Saw this on DSL Reports gaming forum.
http://www.redorchestra.clanservers.com/
It is called Red Orchestra.

Looks like a very cool mod for UT2004.
Will have to look into this.
