Talking What to do with my extra laptop...

https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f5/fed-ex-found-my-laptop-31207/
What to do with my extra laptop... Hmm.... Here's a plan.
I was thinking about building a small box for my laptop and placing it in the rear of my truck under my cargo box. I could buy one of these and place it in the dash where the old stereo and such goes. This would allow be to play all my MP3's and have GPS in my car.Anyone done this before? Or thought of it?

Na, in fact, they are repairing the one that was lost right now. Fed Ex paid them for the lost laptop so they have lost nothing.

Midiwall and Poboy both had either some kind of plan or actually had a computer setup in their rigs. I think it'd be awesome!

I'd put it in the front seat with some cables running under the dash. Ricers will think its an engine management computer, and it will give you 50 extra HP (just like the NOS stickers).
Seriously, the MP3, GPS sounds good. Won't you need to isolate it though. It seems like it will be rough on the hard drive while off roading.

You could always just invest in a nice Pelican case - not sure what that would do for heat dissipation though...

I built a system for my old car, made a custom keyboard in the console too

Would have been easier with a laptop though.
It's a fun project, so I say do it!
