Q for webdesign guys: on making a Log for people who log onto a website.
Well.. ive searched and i did not come up with anything on the net. I just helped my company rebuild their website. They have a page for people to log in to see their pricelist. They asked me if i can make a log for people who log on. As of right now, we only have one username that we give to everyone and a password.(this was set by the previous web designer which im just re-using).
Im assuming that i have to give everyone who asks for the username and passowrd their own UN/Pass. Then ill be able to create a log of who signs on.
Anyone have a clue on how to do this? :pat:
Im just a beginner at this... so please bare with me.!
Thanks
Sherwin

the only thing you can log otherwise is a persons ip and stats like their browser type, etc.
-how is this done (in what language)?
-do you have a stats program?
