HookahRoo's 1986 Toyota Pickup Build
Had this truck for about a year and a half, and I've done a couple things to it so far but I want to really get the ball rolling on it. Not going to lie, I have broken about as many things as I have fixed. I will not accept the fact that my truck is not a racecar.
She's a '86 Toyota pickup SR5 with the 22R-E, manual transmission.
Updates:
June, 2015- New clutch slave and master. This followed a very embarrassing red light and me pushing the truck up a hill.
July 21, 2015- New fuel injectors, new distributer cap, new muffler (The old one fell off while I was driving, but on the bright side people started actually wanting to race me)
July 23, 2015- AC is working for the first time since I got the truck, only thing left to fix on that is the actual switch. I have to jump the compressor, but its blowing cold!
To Do:
Find the interior bits and pieces that broke while painting. They were old and crumbly, I hope I can either find them new online or find an angel who knew how to take care of that plastic.
Touch up dash paint.
Figure out where all my oil is going. I don't see much leaking, its not burning. So i've assumed at this point that it is tiny evil oil elves that want me to refill every week and a half.
Water proof the camper.
Build a better organizer for the bed to use while camping.
Build or find a new center console.

The interior wasn't in great shape, it was brown, and Im broke. So I did a bad thing and got a dash cover and spray painted it. :x
Also replaced the carpet, still have a scar from that job. I got everything out just fine until that bolt holding the seat belt clip. I put all my mighty girl power into it but ended up having to ask for help haha

I didnt want to get my hopes up for it at first because I thought I was going to have to replace the engine, but I just found out today it just needed a couple hundred bucks thrown at it and its good as new. My plan for now is to get it looking a bit nicer on the inside.
Overall I just want to do some light offroading, to get to cool camp sites. Nothing too scary, just a few inch lift, meaner looking tires, maybe paint it. Besides that though its my daily driver so I cant get too crazy.
