Google Earth will not work

http://earth.google.com/

I have had it on my PC before I formatted it back in early spring.

Now when I load either the stable one or the beta one, when I go to activate it I get an error message stating it is missing a Google DLL file and to reinstall or repair.
That does no good.

My PC is fully tuned up, all the updates, the whole shabang.
Anyone else get this error message?

I swear it is the MS updates sometimes that fubar up things.
Sometimes apps work great, then after an MS update they stop working for some reason.

I will it later to see if it is a known snafu or not when I get the time.

I did not see an updater on theit site.
I am trying to do it from a raw download.

I just got it again now and will try once more after shutting down running background apps.

I got it to work from the downloaded file!
I turned off all background apps.

However when I used it in the past, it found my home and my work with great detail.

When I input Greenwater, WA where I do my off roading, it is going to Enumclaw a small town along the way instead which is 25 miles West of Greenwater.
I do not thing Google Earth is all it is cracked up to be.

I was hoping to be able to zoon in on the trails up there.

Yeah, GE only shows detail within certain geographic boundaries.

I'm waiting for a new video card to arrive (making the best of AGP for now) before loading GE again after formatting this week.

That card is one of many available on an ATI Trade-Up program that gives $50 credit for ANY old card toward a slew of choices. I'm going to a yard sale to pick up something and give my current 9800 card to a friend.

The card I'm getting also includes a few useful video production programs worth hundreds.
