Firefox and the forum templates here
I have a really strange problem with Firefox.
A few days ago we did some revamping on the templates here to make it easier to mod them in the future.
With Firefox and IE I have my Control Panel set to have the template style Extreme with sizable fonts as my default.
With IE it stays this way all the time.
With Firefox when I exit the browser and come back, it defaults in the lower left corner to the Original style, although my screen still shows the black Extreme style, but the fonts are small, not big as with the Extreme with sizable fonts.
I can reset it again to my preferred Extreme with sizable fonts, surf some, then come back to the forum here again, and the dang thing is set to Original again in the lower left corner!
But as before, the screen I see is the plain Extreme black edition.
Is anyone else have this happening to them?
Only with Firefox is this doing it.
I also have Firefox 1.5.0.4.

Sounds to me like a cookie issue. Might have to do with your Firefox settings or a bad cookie. Try running CCleaner and see if that fixes the problem. Go over your cookie settings: Tools | Options | Cookies... this is what I have:
-Allow sites to set cookies with no exceptions.
-The two boxes below that are unchecked.
-Keep cookies until they expire.

Chris, my settings were exactly same as yours.
I did the master cookie clean, I hate doing that, have to relog back into several forums, and look up my passwords
But...it cured it!
I am seeing the Extreme with sizable fonts in the lower list all the time now.
WHen I installed FF, I imported the bookmarks and cookies from IE.
Somehow there must have been a corrupt cookie in there screwing it up.
Now the big test will be to see if I can log out of the forum.
This is the only forum I have had problems with logging out.
Stand by...

Cool...
I was able to log out at last!
Can not do it with IE though, it keeps me logged in.
I bet I will have to clear the cookies on it too, but will do that later.
Not giving up on FF yet, as I really dig the tabs.
But once I put on Vista and have IE7, I will more than likely stick with it.
There are just some things FF can not do as well as IE.

I'll bet if you clear your IE cookies, that it'd fix the problem there too. Sounds like a bad cookie that got transported over from IE.
I keep trying to go back to IE7 beta, but I just can't do it for long. Things I miss most:
-Firefox's Speed Tweak.
-Tabbrowser preferences (extension).
-IE Tab (extension) - lets me use IE within Firefox with the same benefits of Firefox.
-Google Browser Sync - only works on Firefox. Lets me sync my work laptop and home laptop automatically (favorites, browsing history, etc).
-Extensions in general. I need to be able to customize my browser.
