That's your problem right there. I'm a little confused as to how it's configured, but it's pretty clear that the ethernet connection between your main PC and the router is down. That doesn't explain how you're surfing the web, though. Have you tried restarting the main PC?

Can you disconnect the ethernet cable going from the main PC to the router and see if you can still get to the Internet? If not, just plug it back in.

Jim I need your home address, and let me know your favorite beer.

Someone disconnected the wirless router from the computer, and plugged the modem straight into the back of the computer.

I'm so sorry man for wasting your evening. every time I disconnected the wires, I would just disconnect from the back of the modem, and from the back of the router ... never checked to see if it was connected to the computer.

I'm really sorry man .. thank you so much

Cool! Just in the knick of time. My father-in-law called with a computer problem and I got side tracked. Glad you figured it out.

It's always the easy solution that gets overlooked. I see the same thing all the time at work. In fact, it's me overlooking the easy stuff half the time.

And, not a waste of time at all. I boosted my post count tonight by about 25.
