Best Video Game Ever?

I didn't want to do a poll since I would leave something out, so what's everyones favorite? List what format it's in too, PS2, X-Box, Classic stand-up...etc.

I love the Grand Theft Auto series for PS. I loved Vice City & San Andreas.

For classic stand-up arcade games Donkey Kong rules.

I'm not much of a video game player anymore but heres my favorites...

San Francisco Rush (the first OG arcade version) Years ago I prob spent hundreds on that game. Eventually i held the #1 saved spots on all the tracks. Good times.

1080* on Nintendo 64 (best snowboard game ever)

All the Tony Hawk series on PS2

Marvel vs. Capcom (arcade version)

Street Fighter (OG arcade and PS/N64 versions)

Mortal Kombat (PS/N64)

Theres more but thats all i can think of.

Anyone remember that car racing game (15+ years old) where you see the whole track on the screen? It's kinda like bumper car racing... it's easy to get turned around the opposite direction if you don't steer right. If you hit a wall or another car....you slow way down and get passed. You look down on the track as your racing against 4 (maybe 5) other cars. Each track/level gets more complex and faster. Oh yeah...it also had short cuts on the harder tracks but if you didn't hit them right, you'd blow up. It had VERY basic graphics but was fun and challenging. It came out on acrade first (which is the best) but then it came out on Nintendo or maybe N64. Every now and then i'll see the arcade at some random gas station or food shop. If anyone knows what i'm talking about, that game still kicks ass today.

I spent many hours playing WarCraft and StarCraft (I'm a strategy guy) and I enjoyed the Half-Life stuff, but not as much.

I also like the Tom Clancy games, but the name escapes me on half a cup of coffee.

Anything with strategy as well as some shoot em up...I dig it, but I didn't care for the GTO series that I played...too task constrictive and not enough room to ad lib.

My favorite game has to be Grand Theft Auto 3. I bought PS2 when it first came out, and I rwemeber playing that game for hours. Probably the game that I put the most time into was either Zelda for NES, or Goldeneye for N64. Hands down, the most fun game to play with friends has to be Blades of Steel for NES, me and my buddies used to rock that all the time when we were in middle school.

Give me a good RTS, RTRPG, or FPS any day where I can use my keyboard and mouse, and I am a happy guy.

As of right now, I have been playing Diablo 2, Warcraft 3, Age of Mythology, Sims 2 (I like to build houses), Dungeon Siege 2, Call of Duty, Counter Strick: Source, Day of Defeat: Source, and Half Life 2: Episode 1.

I love FPS, but I suck so bad at them it is hilarious. I have no concept of moving and shooting at the same time, and I am usually the one that bitches that somebody is camping with a sniper rifle while they have about 40 kills and I have -1 because I killed a team mate.

*EDIT*

I forgot to mention that I love racing games too. I have all 4 Gran Turismos, most of the Need for Speed series, and a few Nascar games. I have been looking for 4X4 Evo for a while now, but I can't find it at any of the stores, and where I usually rent games from, the disc is so bad it won't work in my PS2.

MGS3: Snake Eater
Halo 2

The story for Snake Eater was the best so far and the graphics are insane. Now I have to wait for the MGS4 on PS3

That Off Road game for nintendo kicked serious arse. I forgot about that game until now.

Hands down, best game ever is Tetris. Any platform, any day... it's Tetris. (And that theme song is undeniably catchy!)
