Advice on mounting my CB

Okay, so after a year and a half, I'm ready to find a better spot for my CB than the passenger side of the trans tunnel. I have a Cobra Nightwatch. which measures about 7.5"x9"x2.5". I'm having a hard time finding a good spot to mount it. I've got a 92 Xcab manual transmission. Any help is appreciated

That looks really good, but the dimensions on mine are way bigger, which is my issue.

have you tried a little "modding" to stuff it under the radio?, looks doable to my 89, not sure that the interiors changed a whole lot. that's where i had it in my 86

Nix, sounds like the same CB I have, the 29 Nightwatch.

A good place to put it is below the glovebox on 2nd gen 4Runner type interiors, and also that is where I have it now on the FJ.

It does not interfere with the passengers legs at all.

91 4Runner

And in the FJ same spot

The mic now resides on the left side so the cord does not hang out like in the picture.

I had thought about under the glove box, and still am. Just wondering, though, isn't it a pain to mess with while driving in that location? (BTW, that is the same CB as mine)

No pain at all.
I do not do any adjustments, as I only run two channels.

Chanel 17 for monitoring traffic when it backs up on my commute, and channel four when we go on runs.

I can also leave the mic up in the upper holder I now have on the dash, as the mic is only a few feet away and I still come through great when people receive me.
