Want bass in small form

Ok, So I'm replacing my rear speakers. I've got a pioneer Head unit powering a fosgate P4004 amp using all four channels. My current rears are alpine type r 6.5" (about 3 days old). Im changing those out for more lower bass. I have absolutely no room to put a sub or another amp so first off, i know i won't get what i want, but id like more lower frequency response. My thought is the good ole 6x9. I can get deals on boston acoustic, fosgate, alpine, and jl audio. They're going in my 87 4Runner where the rear speakers went. Any suggestions on a good speaker (6x9 or not) that will fit in the location and offer good bass (i know it wont be like a sub, but can't we reach a comprimise?), while being driven off my current amp? Thanks!

Do an Ebay search for "subaru subwoofer" You'll find auctions for dealer installed subs that will fit underneath the seat, and the subaru bracket bolted right up to my 2004 Taco seat. Then it's just a matter of wiring it in, no big deal really, and no lost space, because it's under the seat.
