I installed my Kenwood KDC-mp919
and I love it. however, I have NEVER had a deck that was so difficult to operate. basic functions such as setting the presets are complicated. the built in eq and crossover kicks a$$.
I have a pair of modded Boston Acoustic 5.25's in the stock dash location, a pair od pioneer 4 way 6x9's behind the rear panels, and a cerwin vega 10" sub. next install will probably be an alpine 5 channel amp.

my Kenwood is the most complicated thing I've ever dealt with, too. Very nonintuitive. A major complaint of mine. Plus the laser is wimpy or something, it will skip discs with the mildest of scratches or fingerprints. I've got the KDC-MPV5025 CD/MP3 receiver. Other than being difficult to operate, its many features are awesome.

I have the Alpine CDA-9833 and I was a bit intimidated since it looked complicated but I was surprised how easy it was to use and I liked that the subwoofer control was 1 button push away since bass response varies CD to CD and radio.
I tried a couple of Kenwoods and a Clarion first and the Alpine and Pioneer HUs seemed to be the most user friendly.

I just bought the KDC-MP628... LOVE IT!! WOO! Anyway... I'm having probs with the rear speakers... they'll play music when I'm listening to the radio, but, they won't be on when I listen to a cd... wtf? Anyway... here's my deck (I bought it yesterday)
