89 4Runner. I really need to get a design to box some 6x9's up. Would help bring back the youth years!!

i boxed some 6X9's and just laid them on the floor of the back seat, facing up... not fun to sit back there but it sounds pretty good.

There are many people around here that have cut into the panels behind the front seats. There really isn't too much behind there to worry about. Please do remove the panels before cutting though

when i had my '88 4runner I had 4" in the front, 1" tweeters in the doors, 6 1/2" in the rear passenger compartment, then 2 12" subs. Then when my brother got ahold of it he kept the 4" and tweeters in the doors, but then decided to add 6 1/2" to the lower part of the doors, then took out my 6 1/2" and put 5x7's AND an 8" woofer in each side then had 4 10's in the back.

here's a pic of my 6 1/2" - https://www.yotatech.com/attachment....achmentid=5208

When I had a 87 4Runner I put 6x9's in the panels to the side of the passenger seats. Sounded incredible. I was amazed at the bass from that empty cavity.
