Does this support a cd changer?

Well I was thinking about getting an ipod interface, and possibly hooking up my xm radio through the cd port on the stock stereo, then I realized that maybe my stock radio does not have cd changer capability. Can anyone tell me if my stock cd player supports a cd changer? I emailed oemvalue.com, and they never got back to me. I know one connector goes to the amp, the other one doesnt go anywhere, so I figured that might be for a cd changer. Front does not show any hints if the unit supports a changer. Thanks!

Maybe look into that then? It is much easier than having a changer mounted somewhere else than. Probably cheaper, and it's OEM, like my single disc NAV

Edit: this is why I think some are Denso and some are Fujitsu-ten (aka Eclipse) We have some Camry and are expecting some Solara. But isn't it a Toyota Camry Solara, anyone?

"We still have a few Camry Navigation systems in stock and we are expecting more Solara Navigation systems next week.

If you do not have the JBL sound system preinstalled, you will need to purchase the amplifier from another source as we do not have any amplifiers in stock at this time. We also do not have any speed/reverse sensor plugs either however they can be purchased from your local Best Buy. Click here for Toyota Navigation information.

Units are sold on a first come, first serve basis. We do not hold waiting lists."

Yes the other port does support a changer! When you have a changer plugged in and you push the "CD" button on the front, it will go to the disk on the dash and say "CD" on the display. If you push the button again it will go to the changer and read "CD1".

I have the six disk in dash changer in my 4runner and an Alpine six disk changer under the front seat (total of 12 discs). I have a Peripheral (brand) interface between them, and it was around $90. It also works with the "3 in 1" stock radio-CD-Cassette.

As far as using an iPod interface it will depend on the model and how the interface works. You may have to use more of an auxillary type of input and you won't be able to control the iPod from the stock unit.

Check HERE and see if these guys can help.

Good Luck!

how does the unit control the cd changer? Do you just press the number button (1-6) to access a cd? One aux input unit, I have to select cd 6, and if I actually have to press a button 6 times to get the source, I wont get that one.

When the changer is plugged in buttons #5 and #6 will have an up and down arrow above them (respectively). This is used to change the disc. There will also be a disc number on the display. These radios were made to control CD changers so they will display the disc and track numbers.

It will look like this

With the disc being disc 9 (this was a 10 disc changer) and track 3. Buttons 5 and 6 will toggle through the disks.
