When choosing a 4 channel amp, to be run in a configuration where 2 channels are stereo, and 2 channels are bridged, you have to remember that if both loads off of the amp are 4 ohm loads, the stereo channel is going to get half of the power that the amp can actually kick out. This is the case with MOST amps, but there are some out there that are not this way (more expensive).

So, for example: 300 watt amp
150 watts bridged @ 4 ohms (chan 1&2)
38 watts per channel stereo @ 4ohms (chan 3&4)
-vs-
150 watts bridged @ 4 ohms (chan 1&2)
75 watts per channel stereo @ 2ohms (chan 3&4)

This can become more complicated depending on how many speakers are attached to each channel. Because if you take 2 4ohm subs and run them in parallel, you will end up with a 2 ohm load, whereas if you run them in series, you have an 8ohm load.

The load combination between the two channels is of extreme importance if you are going to buy an inexpensive amp that runs in this manner. If you want to get the most wattage out of every channel, be sure you're using the correct combination.
