Y'know, I'm not getting jack done with this danged webcam constantly distracting me.

I have however been screwing around with Windows media encoder and such and I'm pretty sure I can get a good LIVE feed from a DV cam up to a server with plenty of bandwidth running with sound and all.

You're succeeding. Looks like that axle housing is taking the "red-headed stepchild" beating...

ROB--

I noticed how close the right U-bolt is to the differential, when you guys did the compression test. Is that fine?

Yep. That is actually the stock location for a Wagoneer, only the Wagoneer had the springs on the underside of the axle. We are also looking at photos of other Tacoma's who have done the SAS and there is not really any other place to put the perch

We found that the springs need to be 34 1/8" outside to outside and that is where they end up.

BTW, you might be interested in what is coming over the next hour. The axle is pretty much done, so we are going to put it under there and bolt it up, then we will be putting on the hubs and bolting up the wheels. Tonight it spends the night on it's own tires, not on jackstands...

Stand by to stand by, this may be a maybe...

Thumbs up SAS!!! Hell Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pretty cool man! It wasn't hard was it!? I really don't know how far you've got, at the moment. You're gonna really like it when your done though. The offroad abilities are a ton better and I swear that it's just as good as the IFS is on the street. Don't listen to me though, I needed $200.00 of parts just to align the front end of my "old" IFS. Plus I had a busted "IFS" front end. I do have to say that it rides better than that old setup did "on the street"! Good deal, Glad you did it and let everyone know. P.S. you have alot of replies to this post, you must have grabbed some attn. from interested people.
