Great simple idea, I like it.

I would maybe brace the bottom better, but thats just me.

How tight does it fit? Does it rattle around while you drive? I like the concept, but I'd rather have it swing out to the side. Lifting my 35" tire up everytime I want to get to my cargo area would get old fast.

I like it... my exhaust is dumping on my spare... and i smell burning rubber :x

my concern is the license plate... at least in CA I'm pretty sure it has to be lit, so zipties may not fly.

no rattle i thought about a swing but i really didnt think the thin metal on the corner of truck was strong enough for a big heavy tire plus the steel, and these materials were readily availabe

thats my concern right now also thats why i dont have a tire on yet til I make a license plate bracket and light still trying to figure out where to move the plate to

i like it too, im looking for one for my pickup , lifting a 36 in spare would get old quick thats for sure, why not use the same concept but on a side mount?

X2..it looks very similar to the CBI Offroad design hitch carrier.

I had one for awhile;





the angle for the tire is braced ..
