perches for my 63 in chevy springs

just picked up some 63 chevy springs tonite that already have the dual shackel setup at the rear. I just need the front perches. I dont need the whole kit that sky sells dose anyone know who sells just the perches? Thanks

check out balistic fab and blue torch fab i think they have them if not im sure they could get you what you need

That would be spring hangers. The perches are the parts that weld to the top of the axle for the springs to sit on. I know folks have made Chevy hangers on their own, should be information on the Chevy spring FAQ on the Pirtate4x4.com forum. I think that 3.5" square tubing (0.250 wall) is used for the hanger, makes 3" inside width.

Trail Gear also sells them. I just put a set on my frame last week. They look beefy but only wheeling them will tell.

I was wondering about perches, wasnt sure what they were called though. I didnt remember seeing anything in the FAQ about them. I reused my perches from the stock set up and got procomp 3 inch lift shocks and they are still 3 inches short. Is it standard procedure to weld on perches to the axel housing? or should I just get longer shocks?

A spring perch does not care what kind of spring is sitting on top of it.


A spring perch will not affect the length of the spring or the length of the shocks.

Maybe you are talking about shock mounts:

And for the shocks, best approach is to measure the compressed and extended length for the shocks you need then pick something that matches those requirements:
