There are 2 FZJ80's at the shop where my 4Runner is. I'll try to look at the diffs this coming week when I'm out there.

The 62's rear axle is offset and the FJ-80 not the FZJ-80 is basically a 62 with a newer body.

Chris-

Are we going to Moab or what? WTF? Let me know.

He told me that he was going to try to make the Isuzu Zu thing. I told him that if he makes it Moab, I would certainly drive up and wheel with him.

He wants to run Prichett Canyon. I think it's over his head, so its best if I go with him/you just in case.

I can also make small talk of that dam rocker knocker with the Dana 44.

Yeah I think so. He was going to see if he could get off work.

I can. No problem.

I would have to take off for at least a week and already have one trip planned that month to Tellico, so I won't make it. I had a chance to go to Colorado this weekend but I passed b/c I don't ride in planes and I care nothing about skiing. My wife is out there skiing with her folks right now though.

I would like to see that. Make sure you get some video. When is that event in May? I will be in the Phoenix area around that time so you better be around.

I get the feeling Chris can't make Moab, he has not e-mailed me about it in a long time. Don't worry.

To me this was one of my main goals, which I think that with me lift, and now that I had cut my frame and moved in up 2", it's no doubt the highest rear bumper on a 3rd gen 4runner. Does that make better sense?

I'm not 100% sure yet. My wife wouldn't come, because she's already used up her week of vacation for this year. I can get off work no problem, but the money for the trip and taking the time away from my wife might not be the best plan, although I'm not 100% sure yet. I sure would like to wheel with you and the other 4runners out there.

She's a big girl, she'll survive without you. I would not be bringing the family either.

If you go to Moab, Cheese will be there, even if he has to replace the entire front end again.

You only live once.........

Hey chris- Does your limited have the little 4x4 button on the side of the transfer case shifter? Do you have the "multi-mode" 4wd option that came on some/all? of the limiteds?

If so, have you looked into whether or not we can do the "junkyard hub swap" from a tacoma with manual hubs for our ADD ones?

Does anyone know?

I understand there is more work to make the ABS operate, but will the extra bells and whistles on the limited edition stop us from going to manual hubs?

SteveO's is a 99 Limited and he has multi-mode and manual hubs, so you should be fine.

You're correct! I'll see what I can do, but I imagine it will be a fairly short notice thing if I even get to go. Part of it, honestly, is the money thing, so we'll see what happens. I bought this welder to be able to finish all my projects, and it took away from my travel money.

When are you thinking about driving out? In May?

Well you can't really short notice me and cheese, you really need to make the call here in the next week or two or forget about us being there. He has to arrange time off work and I have to find a place to stick the kids.

When exactly is this? What dates? Think of all the cash you saved on your new cheaper plan. You gotta see if it will work.

Also budget in at LEAST 2 spare front axle shafts. No you can't buy them in Moab, I bet.

Let me know soon or we won't make it.

Total Est. Time: 25 hours, 53 minutes

Total Est. Distance: 1689.91 miles

One HELL of a road trip.

2 days to get there. 2 days to get back. 200 gallons of gas for the roundtrip.
