Some updates...
Did a little body work this weekend. Closed the beds inner panels with some dimond plate I got for free awhile back. Thought it would look pretty cool
I closed both sides but only have a picture of the one side.

Added some hinges to both sides or my tailgate

Was a nice day out so I wanted to work outside

Coolant lines are pretty much done. Just have a few more solders to do and have to wait, or make an adapter to mate the 1.5 coolant lines to 1.25. and pick up some radiator hose from the store too. Im lazy
Pass side

Pass side in the bed of truck. has a little bit to change here but get the point

Looking back Pass side

Under the body Pass side

I tried to make the lines with as little bends and as straight as possible in hopes my water pump has the ability to push the new increased amount of fluid through the system. I may have to add in an electric pump on the radiator side if I have issues but Ill just have to wait and see on that.
The drivers side pics are uploading but Ill have them up in a few mins here.

Ok so the drivers side lines.
I still have to add in the reducer here. I bought one from summit with a radiaor filler so to help with filling and bleeding the system. my lines will run just above that little blue filter in the picture

I wanted to keep the lines close to the body.

Fit really nice here. and still has great distance away from the exhaust

And added some more rediculous plate to the front of my frame.
its 1/4" and will be a great base to my future winch

Next comes the wiring and hopefully cage too

Had a package up at my parents house from summit today while visiting with the Mother too

I know I havent had to many recent front shots so heres one to wet your appitite

Ran around most the weekend doing this and that, mounted my battery and did a little wiring.

Put the dash bezel back in

Left long leads off the ignition plug so I will be able to use my key to turn on the motor

Didnt really get the chance to do much more to mine like always
Biggest thing tackled this weekend was the lifting my friend erics truck.
was 2wd now SAS with 4.7's 5.29s, locked rear and some 35's. Gonna be his DD thats capable to go pretty much anywere

The springs are 4x4 rears, and 4x4 rears upfront with some long shacles Bout 6" I think they were

So easy top cut off 2wd brackets compared to 4x4 IFS

Cut front frame suport to allow for the new beefy home built front crossmember

The truck previoulsy had no power steering but we have a box to go in and are just waiting on a flat pitman arm

Tires sit very far forward which is perfect. Very little triming to do here

Front view right now. Still have some body to put on and the bed.

Shortend the frame to the crossmember. Need to bob the bed and add shocks.

Very clean
More on mine to come but in the mean time some eye candy

Yup the fronts are stock rear 85 4x4 ex cab leaf springs and the rear are 90-95 excab rear springs. All the lift comes really from the 6" shackles. the front crossmember was cut out for the new hanger. custom tubes were made to go through the frame for the front shackles. the rears front hangers were used in there stock location. the 2wd rear springs were longer than the 4x4 so shackle mounts were made for the rear and the frame section just infront of the very back crossmember was cut off. we drilled the perches and top plates in the rear to move the axle ~1" back

Yea i like it.
I was on the highway in my mom's stock 99 2runner with the 3.4L automatic, and my buddy was driving next to me in his brothers 2000 (iirc) chevy pickup 4.3L manual 2wd.
The 3.4 was a bit faster than his though, might have just been the difference in our driving styles, im an aggressive driver, and i don't know what he was revving up to, etc..
I would like to hear what you think in the 4runner what motor feels better in your opinon. 3.4 or 4.3! Get this done so i can know the troof!
