4runner rear bumper

I finally finished this project a couple weeks ago. I made it bolt on (the bolt holes are sleeved) so I can add a tire carrier and possibly some tubing to the sides. I've still got plenty to add to it before it's all said and done, but I'm happy with it for now.

Looks good. Nice fab work, good profile and tucked up very well.

Any support for the front of the side wings? I see the corner gussets... just curious about the leading edge. So much leverage waiting to be applied there.

Thanks!
Right now I'm waiting on that till I decide which if the few ways available I want to go with that. I will more than likely weld tabs to it and run a tube back to the frame. It is well supported 1/4 wall so I figure unless I hit it just right (with my luck I probably will, haha) I can hi-lift off of it or give it a good rub without any problems. I'm supposed to be making the same or very similar for a guy here in the next couple weeks and I figured I'd play with an idea or two on his and go from there.

For guys that are local to me (northern CO) it's not a problem. I welded the new mounts into the frame then bolted the actual bumper to that so there is some welding to it aside from the bolt on portion so I'm not quite sure where that would leave someone not local to me that wants something like this. Then the cost of shipping would more than likely be a deal breaker for most.

Looks nice-I like the gusset design. Maybe if I ever add sides to mine, I will do something similar to yours. Any particular reason that you didn't mount the reciever flush? I assume it is due to easy access to the hitch pin?

I really don't like the look of the flush mount ones. To me it's like a big hole in the bumper that's just missing something.
