Yes, that was a fun run. We did more than I planned, but was a better route overall.

I agree with Westy... what fun is it to drive with someone that never needs a spot? You'll have to humor me a bit more next time so I feel like I am doing something.

Maybe Hackberry, Sunflower or the FJ area is calling our names for the next dark expedition.

Hackberry is a fun one at night. Done that a couple times, problem is you miss out on all cool surrounding landscapes, if you havent been before, but I would be up for a night run out there, or FJ - Bad Medicine?

Log Corral could be interesting with a night time river crossing.

Thanks guys. There were a couple of moments! The trail was great and a perfect difficulty with some exciting spots!
Sliders are definately in order and I'd love to tag along anytime to log corral.

Sunflower is a great one and Danica (that's for elvota ) has never been.

Damnit Westy I already forgot your name. Brian is it??

We should do a a Crown king, log corral, matinez mine or cabins at least, box canyon, sunflower, or anywhere else run!!

I got the GPS track of our run downloaded and converted into a *.kmx file for viewing on Google Earth.

Anyone who is interested, just PM me a way to send it and you can get an idea where Trail 404 actually is and where it goes.

I'd be interested to do Log Corral, Sunflower, or Hackberry at night.

Took a lot of trust to follow me through that in the dark.

Guess you really don't know me that well.

Just caught that one Westy. Sure thing... I am totally in!!!

I won't be able to see the scary waterfall in the dark. If you can't see it, it can't hurt you. Just like pulling the sheets over your head as a kid hiding from monsters. Worked every time!!

Plus, if I flop I can just curl up in the passenger side and sleep until morning.

I am all over this route. I have done it a ridiculous amount of times already... but will do it again. Maybe a weekend evening will allow more in the group to make it.

For some reason, I just really like what the area has to offer... whether I can see it or not.

Is that why you bring a sheet along when you wheel??? I was wondering about that one.

You should do a write up as two which thread count works best depending on terrain.

And yes, I am secure enough to admit that I know about sheet thread count... although I can't really figure out why I know it or how it will ever apply to my life.

Zona,
Sorry, we cant EVER do it again. EVER!! You did not show up for the once in this decade time so you cant go!!!

ElVota,
Seriously! What WAS I thinking following you up there. Actually, the questions is what was I thinking wearing sandals hiking up a ravine, espcecially with a guy carrying a bazooka disguised as a flashlight!

I was thinking more along the lines of just strapping a mattress to the drivers side so if you cant hold the line it will soak up the hit

No, but seriously I really want to go out and try it and I know you can do the trail. We all may have to winch the last fall, or we all may drive it fine. I'm almost positive there is a bypass trail anyway though...

Its not nearly as hard as Pritchett, I know that.

Well, since I have sensitive skin, I find the 600 thread count is the best but very expensive. I'm usually good with around 400. Try and stay away from anything less than 250. And watch out for those cheap brands that twist two really thin strands together to make one but count it as two.

yeah, i know my thread count too.

Damnit Tim, I mess one run and that's it? Never to be run again? That's it...where's my blanky, i need to hide.
