Arizona Roll Call

The water crossing I did was only needed to get at the stuck truck on the other side of the Verde. Made it from I-17 and Bloody Basin all the way to Sheep Bridge without seeing any water. Like Jeff said, very easy trail. Can be done in a 2wd truck no problem.
You can also get there via Cave Creek road to 7 springs.

Yeah, you need extended diff breathers (yours are already entended into the frame and engine compartment), remember the ECU is in the passenger side kick panel so don't go deeper than that (some people put a ziplock bag around it for some water resistance). Afterwards, check/repack your hubs and check the diff fluids to make sure that no water got in there.

Hey guys. I upgraded my SA inner axles and hub gears to chromoly a couple weeks ago so I have the OEM stuff just laying around. I thought I'd offer them around to the local guys first.
The hub gears from a straight axle hub. I have read that these will convert IFS hubs to SA hubs. I have also heard that it will NOT work, so do your research.

OEM inner axles and birfields. Good for trail spares or to complete a SA if you happen upon just a housing.

Let me know if you're interested and we'll see what we can work out.

Sooo the rock lights that I ordered came, but there GREEN haha! Gotta send em back and make sure I get white ones sent back! Pretty sweet though, smaller than I thought they were going to be, and plenty bright (even with the green)

LED and waterproof. Plus there's 8 of em so I'll be able to do front and back of every wheel. Hopefully there Decent quality, maybe they'll be on by the next night run.

I've been thinking about doing night runs too...especially next summer. Are the rock lights above enough? At 'wheeling speed I can't imagine I need more light off the front but really don't know. My headlights are the Sylvania silver something and are pretty bright.

You headed to Ensenada in a couple weeks for the B1K with the above rig?

I want to go to Hackberry!! I was just talking to someone recently about going there too - I am definately in for this - as long as we can go before Dec 11 or after Jan 3. Its not in my Arizona Backroads trail book. I will check my other books when I get home and see if I can find anything about that area.

I have GPS for Hackberry Creek. I'm pretty sure I remember all the turns too. Its on page 180-181 of AZ Backroads. Good boulder fields but not good for non-lifted vehicles and/or open diffs.
I'd say mild lift + 33's would be minimum.

Heh - your rig is so friggin built you might be bored...just kidding
We could have some serious fun by picking stupid lines at the powerline with your truck.
Its btwn Superior and Globe off US60 so it means a 1.5 hour run on the hwy. How's your truck on the hwy? 65-70mph?
