Arizona Roll Call

My name's Laurin, and I live in Flagstaff. I come from the world of land cruisers, and am slowly learning that pickups are different animals.
My truck is a 1986 shortbed pickup. No mods, other than the soft topper and 31's.
It'd be nice to get to know some people around Flagstaff that would be willing to help wrench (i'm trying to learn to fix stuff myself) and wheel.

Just messing with ya! Would have been really cool if you had a Blazeland Kit on your BlazeRunnner.
In a coincidental name mix up story, I live near a High School and the stoner kids saw my bumper stickers and started parking and Blazing thinking Blazeland was 4:20 friendly. I wouldn't have minded if they would have picked up their trash. Then a few bad apples start dealing. Anyway, the neighborhood watch stepped in and now its a bust.

Oh I know
Well if you wanna throw some stuff my way, I'd be happy to support Blazeland
No but really I wouldn't even know where to begin beyond a basic coil lift, I'm still green to the 4x4 world. Also, I didn't see any generation specific stuff on your site, u guys do 3rd gen runners? Or is it all custom for every application?
N yeah I can see the confusion with any kind of name that is sort of suggestive, especially in SoCal... I'm actually from Redondo beach / Torrance and miss the hell out of it

Hey guys, new to the forum, and just bought my 1996 4Runner SR5 right befor Christmas. I've been wheeling before, but the last 10 years or so, I have not. I wanted to get back into it, and what a better way than to buy the truck I've always wanted? I miss wrenching on my own cars, so now I get to do it again.

Sounds good I definitely will be lookin out for ya. She runs fine just gotta get it to pass emissions and redo a bunch of wiring and fix a few oil leaks but you might see me around too. White pickup no tailgate horrible white paint job, no front bumper as of yet haha. She'll be pretty one day.

6 months ago, mine blew a headgasket all while sitting in front of the house waiting for new seals...yeah it sat for about 2 months before this but went to start it up for a quick QT run and nothing but white smoke. Neighbors appreciated it I'm sure. So now I have an engine in the garage from an Automatic 97' with 135k on the clock waiting for more money to buy the necessary parts for the transplant. As soon as that's done, then the axle seals will be replaced...and THEN, maybe I'll get to wheel it after I put some miles on the newer engine. Either way, I miss driving it.

Hey Ted, you do realize they sell head gaskets right? You don't have to throw a whole new motor at it.
But since we're on the subject, I'm dropping a new motor in mine too, the old one smells funny.
