I'M SO MAD AT MYSELF FOR BRINGING A CAMERA AND NOT TAKING PICS!

Ted needs to get his injectors and what not done to join in on a run!!

Where were you planning on heading Jeff?
BTW you missed out man had a great install and had a bit of off road time, not much though cause the install ran a little late. How did the boarding go?

No camera?!?! No-way!! I WOULD have been good for something besides tool/beer b!tch then - sorry I missed out!

Boarding was sweet as usual. The conditions could have been beter, but some boarding is better than no boarding. This is my 20th season snowboarding and I'll be heading up to Durango in a few weeks if anyone is interested.

As for Saturday, the more the merrier!! I have been invited with 2 groups - My really really good friends are planning on going to 4Peaks/Upper Sycamore and maybe Butcher Jones if there is time. Then there is the run with AORC and they are going our by Lake Plesant to hit up Castle Hot Springs area.

I'm leaning more towards the 4Peaks/Sycamore/Butcher Jones run because I love the people who are going!

Everyone is welcome to come with us. I'll get the details out as soon as we finalize the plans.

No no Jeff. We had cameras. We just forgot to use them...

Kinda like when we did my t case and got so engrossed that we didn't get any "during" pics. So, you know how it is.

This w/e is a work w/e for me, so no wheeling for me. You guys have fun wherever you end up going.

Jeff-

Not to crack my whip...but the sooner the better...I'm a little mental like that..I have to know what I'm doing and get mentally prepared for it...
By the way, wish you would've been there this last weekend..none of us remembered till the third was installed and brake drums were going on. And MIKE spoke highly of you as well...good people are hard to come by...next time though you gotta be there...man'n the camera, cause you know we aren't going to remember.

NOW-Saturday-I'm in, how hard is BUTCHER JONES and the other trails we'll be doing? and what time to meet? I'd rather go with someone who has had experience (read: likes, says there good people) with the rest of the pack than the other group.

I'm going to talk to them tonite and finalize everything this evening!

Mike is the bomb isn't he? I really like him a lot - he is soo knowledgeable about everything.

I never leave the house without my camera so when I'm around you can pretty much guarantee things will be documented - the good and the bad

I've been to Butcher Jones 100's of times. What I like about i there is that there is something for everyone - where there is something crazy and hardcore, right next to it is something tame enough for any noob and everything in-between. I haven't done 4Peaks in a few years, but from what I recall - it can be done with any 4WD vehicle.

I'll post up after I get done talking it over with everyone.

Alright - here's the deal:

The friends I love to wheel with are going to Florence and they are planning on doing some *very* hardcore trails, then the is the AORC who are going to Wickenburg where I just went a few weeks ago.........

SO - since it sounds like you guys haven't been out to Butcher Jones before (which is sad BTW) I vote we do our own thing and go there. One of the reasons I don't want to go out to Florence is that my best friend isn't going to be able to go with us on Sat, and she needs to hit up those trails in her sweet FJ, and she has been to Butcher Jones hundreds of times so she isn't missing out on anything new.

Hows that sound?

There are plenty of places we could meet up - I think it depends on where everyone is coming from. Butcher Jones is at Saguaro Lake off the 87 and Bush Highway. I'm in Chandler near the 101 and Warner. I know some of you are in the N. Phx area. So we could meet up at the 87 and Shea - or we could meet up just north of Shea on the 87 at the new Chevron - formerly Baja Gas Station -which is directly across the street from Ft. McDowell Casino.

Let me know what ya think and we'll make this happen!

Jeff-
I dig it...you're willing to break off from your friends to come wheel with us...that's cool. And since I have no idea where Shea and the 87 are can you draw me a map? <---sorry... But if there was an actual physical address that I could plug into my GPS that would be awesome and would make sure I didn't get lost in the process...Aside from meeting up, how early can we leave...? Or because it's on a Saturday, are you/ we wanting to sleep in a little?

Oh yeah!

I'm IN for this!

It doesn't matter to me when we meet up. Typically I try to be at the trail head around 10ish, but I am super flexable with time, I'm not one of those clock nazi's like some other people I know. I'm ok with whatever everyone else wants to do.

Here are directions form the 202 and 87 to Butcher Jones:

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sour....617294&z=11It

Ted - If you want you can meet me somewhere on our side of town and you can follow me out there.

Basically the 87 (Beeline Hwy) is Arizona Ave/Country Club - it turns into a highway on the north side of the 202. Shea is almost 12 miles past the 202. The gas station is about 2 miles past Shea on the right at N. McDowell Rd - there is a traffic light there. Bush Hwy is about 8 miles past the gas station and Butcher Jones is around 3 miles east of the 87 off Bush Hwy. Once you get to Butcher Jones, follow the driveway around to the gate and head in - I ususally park just beyond the cattle guard to air down and wait for others.

who else is down?

Saturday's trail run...w/ Jeff

Jeff- I forgot that Arizona Ave. is the 87 off the 202...wow...that's west of where I'm at...Ok..you and I will meet up on Arizona Ave. hopefully a short way off the freeway...give me a landmark to spot that's convient for you.

Roni said he's in too....RIGHT RONI? And Chris? Thought he was down for anything? Or does he have to work? Can't remember what he said last weekend...

Anyone else care to join?

Simple solution - DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE!!!!

"Oops.... sorry, I was out on the trails in my locked up truck and there was no cell service - my bad!"

We're going to figure out a place to meet up tonite and we'll post something tonite - somewhere on the 87 (Beeline Hwy) most likely

I'm excited to do some wheelin with you guys!
