And like I said before, I try to go out there as often as I can, so if you ever want to head that way (or anywhere else) count me in!

Roni - I just saw this posted this morning:

https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f11/...z-90-a-227887/

a set of 1 1/2 BJ Spacers - its time you join the club! I can help you install them anytime - I've done it a few times now and I have all the necessary tools. We'll just have come up with a way to lift the rear a bit to match - either some new leafs, longers shackles, or heaven forbid - blocks!

I'll send you guys the pics/vid as soon as I can get them all downloaded.
Jeff- I dont think I did to bad for having mostly 2WD...and the occasional 4WD...And this problem will be fixed before the next outing. I sent the pics and video I took to Roni so he can edit them into his video or whatever he's gonna do with them. I did put in the request that when he shows me that he has some country music playing along with it...somehow, I don't think he has to many country cd's. And the 95's have a COIL rear spring...Maybe someone here can help with a donation of some rear spacers here for him...He does wheel his truck, and as long as he has the tires, he'll wheel his SH$T

Roni- I PM'd the person whos selling these, and asked if he'd be willing to lower the price some...just need to make sure they're going to work to for your truck...I also sent him a link to the Arizona Roll Call thread so he can join in on the fun.

Oh and those welds in the picture's are from an Oxy-Acetylene torch... For the first semester of my welding class we're learning Oxy-Acetylene (first 7 1/2 weeks) then Arc/ Stick welding (last 7 1/2 weeks). The great thing about learning Oxy is that I have the whole welding set-up at my fiance's parents house just waiting for me to go pick it up...bad new's, is it's in California--we're going there, not this weekend but the next one. Then I can practice all day long, at least until the gas runs out and needs to be refilled.

So Arbys is a good meeting point?

HAHAHAHAHA!

Anyone who would spend even close to their last dime for gas so he could go wheeling....is either crazy for off-road ....or, or...I can't think of anything else...

Roni- You're ok in my book... Jump on the tie-rods, then BJ spacers..then a damn alignment...THEN new tires. Hey...the guy thats selling those BJ spacers has joined us here...maybe you could convince him to hold on to em' till you have the money...OR, maybe you could trade him that MAGNAFLO 2.5" in/out muffler you have sitting on my shelf...I dont know if he needs it, but hell, it's worth a shot..?

sjb87PU- Welcome to our thread....Hope we can set up a run with a few people in the next couple of weeks....Again.

Not for a year or so, but I'd like to hit that up before it gets crazy hot out since there isn't much shade out there. Do we still need to contact the ranger station to get the gate code? Or am I thinking of somewhere else?

No I haven't...but I watched a couple of videos over on youtube and some of it looked pretty nasty and some of it looked fairly easy...I guess that's to be considered normal for most trails though. If some one else here has more experience with that area, I'd have to rely on what they say....Maybe MIKE or JEFF can chime in here...I have a better understanding of what easy or nargly is from both of them...so I'll wait to see what they/ someone else has to say. Maybe our next excursion destination?

I think have been through there a few times. If so,its like how Butcher Jones was, there is the easy way then the hard way and everything inbetween. Most of the crazy stuff you saw in the videos are side trails or alternate routes.

I would be down for that to be our next destination - I wouldn't mind leading either even though, if its where I am thinking, I haven't been there for a while. I'll check with I get home, it may be in one of my trail books. If it is where I'm thinking, we'd have to stop by the Mesa Rangers office to get the current gate lock code and we can get a trail map there too.

Jeff-Sorry to quote the whole thing. If it's like Butcher Jones, I would be good with this run then. How soon can we make this happen? I'll be out of town this next weekend and need to get to wrenchen on the 4Runner when I get back...can't work on it this week as I need to get my DD ready for the trip to Cali. and I have a feeling the headers are gonna take a couple of days... So in 3 weekends, Feb. 19th? I think it's a holiday weekend...? Who's down to roll again? I sent what I had from the BJ run a few minutes ago.

RONI- Hows that editing coming? Think you can get a couple spare tires by then and some extra $$ for gas? Love to have you along again...and the sandwiches too!

Mike/ Nick- Do you guys think you can make it?

Anyone else wanta come?

I have no plans the weekends of Feb 11-13 and 18-20 so that works for me. I can hit up the Mesa Ranger station to get maps and the gate code in advance too and maybe do a pre-run. I'm sure I can wrangle up a few more people to tag along too.

Ted - if you want any help working on either the 2-Runner or the DD, let me know - an extra pair of hands is always good - even if its just to open the next beer.

Roni - I can bring along that extra 31x10.5x15 spare I have - its a BGF A/T with a good amount of tread on it - its the twin to the spare thats on my truck now. You can have it if you want - its just been taking up space on the side of my house.

JEFF- You rock...I looked for that video last night and no one had it up yet...but was able to watch videos on Saguaro Lake and Butcher Jones...I'm thinking their one in the same... And with the offer on the help for the DD and Pre-Runner: The pre-runner..still pulling info from here on the boards with multiple links for the ADD system and it's operation...seems it's all for the Auto Tranny though. As I mentioned before, I want understand the systems principals and have a thorough understanding of it's operation..get it working as the engineer's intended and then make any modifications from there. Time consuming of course what with all the checks for vacum leaks and what not.
Now the DD...replace rear pinion seal...typically a one man operation...I'll be doing this tonight and I usually like to start later in the evening and work till it's done...Tomorrow after class...Pull the headers, take em' to the shop to get plained for a nice smooth mounting surface (thier warpped-Damn $700.00 JBA's) and then remount them on Wednesday...should be an all day process...Usually a 1-man job unless you've done them before..to explain how to do it while doing it would double the time...If you want to stop on by just to shoot the breeze, you're more than welcome too...but when I work alone, I really get tunnel vision to those around me. Time really does get away from me and before I know it, it's like 1:00 in the morining...

Thanks for the offer, sincerely...By the way...how did you get that up on YouTube before Roni was able to get his editing done and posted there..??? Nice by the way...

Music for what Roni's doing, I think it should be Metallica- Shortest Straw...I listend to it while watching the slide show of pic's you sent me...seemed to flow rather nicely with the tunes and Pic's.

I understand - when I work on either of my rides I get the same - just focus on the task at hand until its done. And I don't know anything aobut headers or any of the stuff you're working.

I didn't do any editing thats how - I just saved it to my computer, then uploaded it to youtube and here it is! Sometimes I have too much free time on my hands at the office (like today)

MagnaFlo....

Roni- Yes. It's all yours....now come get the damn thing off my shelf...HA! Good luck on landing the job...Hope all goes well for you tomorrow...Let the mods begin....or is that being a little preemptive?

Hurry up with those damn pics and the video (s)...

Jeff- If you wanna learn or see it done, then stop on by...you never know, we just might feed you...we almost always have dinner at home so you'll at least get a home cooked meal...You see, like right now, this is my last post before I go out and start turning the wrenches...I'll probably button it up tonight around mid-night...so if you're in the neighborhood swing on by...you still have the address right...oh, and we've already had dinner but there are some leftovers. Chicken was what we had for dinner...

Did anyone else receive an email from a Mike Toomey? Is this mike here in this thread?

I got Mike's email too (thanks for remembering me!) - and I have been there, back in the day when my truck was mostly stock. I would love to go out there, especially if we have the pleasure of going with Mike AND Steve! We can do Bulldog canyon anytime, but the chance to wheel with Mike and Steve at the same time is priceless - if they don't mind us taggin along

Mike - if you are planning on the 19th for The Coke Ovens, please count me/us in - I've wheeled with Roni and Ted and I know they can handle this run - as long as Ted's 4wd is actually working - hehehe

I already have that weekned blocked off to do some wheelin - and I have some friends who live out that way who would come along and have a great time with us - if that is ok!

Roni - you can have the tire, no worries - I have a few extra.... I'd take the rim back if you don't need it - but the tire is all yours
