Hey,

I'm new here but intrested in getting out and exploring. I was up in the Davis Lk, area last weekend but hit the snow line quite fast. I will keep my eyes open for upcomming meets. I think I'm going to try the Hail creek clean up run in a few weeks.

hey jeremy..welcome aboard! whatcha drivin? and another surreyite too... heh

im thinking about trying the hale creek run next month too. im halfway done my regear + front arb install, but i should be good to by next weekend.

maybe hale creek area can be the location of our meet n greet guys? stave is OK, but only since its closer, but id drive a bit further to get better trail action...and sunrise is also a great stocker run if not a bit short. hopefully april wont be bringing too many showers, coz i want to go out n hit the trails with ya guys!

Great idea Sonny. Hale, Sunrise or other exploring up Harrison West, then a beer and burger at the Sasquatch Inn. Or a beer and beer if you'd prefer

ok...so lets do hale/sunrise then. eric, ive never done hale...it'd be stocker friendly right? and im down for a beer n burger n beer at the sasq. looks like the rest of march is a write off for me, so shall we get a show of hands as to when's a good date for everyone? the sooner we can all agree on a date, the better as i've got to inform the authoritites....

and another heads up/shameless plug if anyone with a 3rd gen runner or 96-04 tacoma would be interested in my front 4.30 open diff & rear 4.30 elocked third. $900 takes em both. i'll even help ya install it

Yeah, Hale is no problem for a stocker, it's easier than Sunrise. Most weekends are good for me, or I'm off work both Friday and Monday at Easter.

And I'm very tempted to buy the diffs, except my wife is between jobs right now and has put a lock on my toy fund, something about mortgage payments, food, etc.

spring riding jesse? you bastid im so jealous!! haha...where abouts you goin?

mch944...welcome to the BC side of the board. definitely try to come out in mid/late april for our meet n greet. it will be at hale creek/sunrise in harrison west. ill gather more info as the time comes closer...

only requirements on this run will be that you've got proper recovery points front & rear. a receiver out back will work. i bought tow hooks from princess auto for about $10 a pop, but had to source out other bolts as the ones that came with the hooks were standard thread and we need metric's. ended up getting them from alder auto. your own tug/recovery strap will also help but not essential as i think theres at least a couple. i recommend getting one though...they're about $40 from princess auto as well. make sure you get at least a 20,000# strap. Also a full size spare.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!!!

I'm down for 4x4 all the time so keep us posted. I have all the needed recovery points and straps, so I'm set there. A locker would be awesome but that will be later, looking for a Elocker at some point.

Hope to see all you guys out there soon.

Once again, that date is no good for me (best friend is coming in from Ontario...that weekend is all booked up). Hope you guys have a good time, and I'll keep an eye on the thread in case the date changes.

Make sure you've got lots of pics to post up so I know what I missed.

Oh, and welcome mch944 and wheelingnoob

Works for me, I look forward to getting out again. I will be doing hale Creek on the 14th along with the BC4x4 group, so I will have an idea what I'm getting into.

I think this weekend its going to be a Chilliwack Lk. see how far I can get before hitting snow line.

Where abouts you headed up Chilliwack Lake way? I haven't been up there for a while, but be careful of washouts, flooding etc. I love it up there, I'm up there almost every weekend in the summer. We used to have the best camping spot right on the lake, but we got kicked out last year...guess you're not allowed to camp there anymore.

Arghhhhhh...... its tax season fro me right now. Gotta wait til mid may. I probably won't make a trip until I get my OME lift on anyways. Anyone good with a coil compressor or know of a good mechanic?

ok so lets try for either day of the 21st/22nd. rubysrunner..youre just gonna have to miss out on the fun!

good call on running the maintenance run jeremy. im probably going for a run on the 14th, but to squamish up to hut lake. its a bit more technical & difficult, but fun nonetheless. if anyone wants to join, they're more than welcome to. i've always got a seat or two available if someone wants to ride b!tch seat...

dave...you gonna do the lift yourself? its pretty easy. i'd just pull out your fronts and bring em in with your OME stuff to a mechanic & get em to swap it over. then just do the rest at home yourself.
