well looks like im stuck..cant make it to this months maintenance run. i would encourage anyone stock or not to try this run. mkool has been on it (but not with his truck) and its definitely a good way to start wheeling your junk. steve and a number of others will help spot and guide you up the Vrock. have a look at the hot4x4.ca pic gallery site..lots of sunrise pics there.

on another note...i might have a 4.30 + rear elock swap available in the next couple weeks. front open 4.30 + rear elocked 4.30. rear third will come with wiring harness. perfect setup if you want to go slightly lower gear and rear locker without having to re & re from your truck. simple diff swaps & a bit of wiring for the locker n your set...

Well I went on the Sunrise run yesterday, made it all the way to the top too. The lake had 10-12" of ice so a few brave people drove out on it.

Dave, I guess you finally bought a lift. It should really transform your soccer mom mobile.

Sonny, when you pull your gears, pm me. I may be interested in them. Whats the mileage on them? I've been thinking about swapping for a while but just never was motivated to look for them. How much work is it to do this swap?

Having stood on that rock, I sit here and shake my head pondering the reason why that was attempted in the first place.

hey nice pics eric...glad you were able to make it. wheres the pics of your runner hmmm? fairly easy run hey? think that area would make a better place for our meet n greet? id think so...

oscar, ill letcha know if/when ill have em out. still contemplating buying an elocked third, get em setup, then swap mine out n sell, or just pay to have it removed, regeared and reinstalled. id rather regear one thats already out then swap mine...

I can't take credit for the pics, I just posted them so you guys could see what you missed.

And Sonny, the Jeep was trying to go up about 20' to the left of where you were, that's why he needed the winch

Welcome bry-an...I love the sunshine coast, I used to have family over in Gibsons so I spent tons of time there when I was a kid. It's beautiful there, and I bet there's some great trails. Anyway, good luck with your SAS and welcome to YT

you in the process of swappin your IFS out? there are a couple axles here in the lowermainland. the job itself doesnt seem too bad, if youre good with a welder. whats your toy setup right now?

Hey a co-worker was just telling me about some abandoned camp or town over there on the coast that he wants to check out this summer. Do you know what he's talking about, and can you give me any info? This sounds like it could potentially be a good trip. Thanks

i think youre referring to the bible camp in sechelt? i've read a bit of info on it...seems like a good trip to make...ill have to hunt down which forum it was...but lots of good info.

here is a thread from bc4x4 a couple years ago. they say winch or lockers are mandatory...but who knows how the terrain is now. some pics from the H.O.T trip a couple years back.

Anyone up for the Sunrise Creek run on March 10th. Yotas were outnumbered last month, we need some more out there.
