Hey Sonny,
That's funny you mention the run up to Sunrise Lake tomorrow because I was just thinking about the same thing.
A buddy I work with asked me today if I wanted to go on it because he was. He just bought an FJC about a month ago.
He said they are all meeting at the Sasquatch Inn at 9:30 so let me know if you, (or anyone else) wants to go and I'll be in too.
I keep hearing it's an easy trail so hopefully my so-stock-it-still-has-running-boards truck won't have any problems. (I know, I know the boards gotta go :pat: )

yeah, just talked to the mrs and looks like the sunrise lake run is gonna be a no go for me..again i really wanted to this month, but as always, id need(want) a full day free and sunrise unfortunately looks like its an all day affair. id need to leave my haus at 8:30 to be in mission by 9:30 and even from there, its still another hour till the trailhead. ive got a 'be home by/before dinner or ELSE' limit..so i gotta keep it more local this weekend...i know w-PSSH. if i can find sitters for the kids so the mrs wont be pulling her hair out all day, i may end up going after all. if you do decide on sunrise, id pull your boards. its super easy, only a 10mm (or was it 13 ) socket and 6 bolts/side.
that said, we're thinkin either eagle ridge (not quite stocker friendly) or stave lake & surrounding trails which is more stock friendly. if you guys dont end up at sunrise, you or anyone else reading is more than welcome to join in wherever we go...

Well I didn't end up going anywhere this weekend
but my buddy did go up to Sunrise Lake in his FJC.
I posted some pics here:

From some of those pics, I think I might have had some trouble...

what trails you hit mostly? havent hit stave (redneck church ) yet...not really into the boggin' but would definitely want to check out the trail to the lookout, or anyother decent trail up there...if you head out there religiously (pardon the pun) let me know!

The lookout is a nice place to go, it used to have a bad spot (bent up the runningboard on my previous ('91) 4Runner there ;-).
I think it is fixed up now and a easy drive up. You can see both alouette lake & stave lake from there. You drive right by the mud flats as you go onto the trail.
I haven't met up with the fun 'n bc gang, but have met a couple of them around Mission & Maple Ridge.
I wouldn't mind running up there again, it's been a couple of years since I was up there.
