Sport jr,
There will be plenty of us around on Sunday, just find us if you can, or get Austin so send you the numbers list. My phone works fine down there, so if you want to you can call me and find out where we are.
You do have a plasma cutter? If you do that would be really awsome, on one of my trips to Raleigh(I'm sure I have some coming sooner or later, at least one to re-build my axel) maybe you could cut out my fenders for me. I would rather have them cut that way they look alot nicer and give a cleaner edge then anything else.
Austin, do that list of phone numbers that would be great. I'll shoot you mine.

I have access to one for when ever yes, But honestly I would say it is actually cleaner to cut with a metal sheer or a double cut, however tehy ar a bit harder to control. A sawzall or a Jig saw with a narrow metal cutting blade is probly the easiest way. THen grind off the rough edges. I have never done it but I am a sheet metal guy so I work with it all the time. Our plasma will cut it for sure but the thing is you have to be very steady free hand to do that type of thing unless you have a template that wont burn through. One little bump or sneeze and it will leave an unwanted mark. It cuts the same way as a cutting tourch. Either way we can get it cut.
My suggestion is to use a Jig saw, Have a line drawn, tape the upper edge (so the paint doesnt scratch) and have a few extra blades just in case it gets dull. The higher the blade count the better. Then have a grinder handy for the low spots to edge off. This would be to me the easiest way and the cleaner cutting I believe.

It costs $57 to camp for two nights!??? How come I don't remember this from last time?? Is this still ok chris? I'm really trying to get the guy with the jgc to come but hes saying hes going to have a ton of work. There are a couple of other guys I could ask too. Then we could split it 3 ways. How many people are you bringing? It asks how many people. We need to do this asap b/c you have to reserve it 4 days in advance.

Oh and sam if you could bring your sawzaw I still might hack up my bumper some more and try to mount my cheap aux back up lights. OOh, but i'll need a drill too. Anybody got a drill they would want to bring? I just remembered I need to get the ol' dremel out and grind the holes in my skids so I can get those back on. I totally forgot about that! :pat: I'm going to be a busy man this week... busy man...

I went for my first time yesterday(Saturday). Like I said it was my first time but I thought it was super busy. It seemd like every trail (that I was on at least)had big groups going both directions. Good luck with such a large jeep group going.

Oh boy... sounds like fun...
Thanks for the drills guys! I think I will be set! Sam, bring the charger for the saw incase. We can charge it either a at the campsite or b in my truck.
We need to recruit a member that has some land!! The only land I would have access to would be cow pastures and that would be about as interesting as pamela anderson with no boobs.
Eh, who cares about traffic. I'm just ready for a change in scenery. The last time I went camping was the last 4Roc meet I made it to. Well... unless you count that one time I passed out in the bushes by my house... (ha, just kidding) I like camping and getting away from... well... everything! Plus you get all the comforts of not having to carry everything on your back. On another note... My girlfriend just got a dog (she picks him up tomorrow) So now there is a chance I could be doing the trip alone UGHH! But hopefully not. Hes a year old half bassit (spell?) hound half american bull dog. I have yet to meet him but we are taking the two dogs to the park to meet tomorrow. Hopefully all goes well and he likes car rides.
Ok, at this point I think i'm rambling and I need to head to bed.
Later!

I had a budy go down there a last weekend and he said it was slammed, he and his group had to make a dive into the brush almost every 15-20 minutes.
Isn't that a monolouge?

Guys I will be down Saturday morning I have to work on friday a little. Where could I meet everyone at? How about the post at 8:00 to rally everyone together for the day since people are stay in different sites.... Let me know
#138
or we could meet at arrowhead at "crindge" 8.
So are we sharing a campsite or what? Good thing I didn't reserve it... If we get it while down there we save $9. There are 3 spots still open right there so I figure we cuould get one of them. Does anyone know if we have to pay cash for the campsites or can we pay with c-card?

How much is the site?..... The problem is I need to install my winch Friday and a snorkle... I have been working in Richmond so much I haven't had time to do this. I was going to wok through the night Friday to have everything done.... I guess I can get the winch in and come on down. Let me know..... I guess I will camp, It is suppose to RAIN according to weather Channel

Well, the campsite isn't cheap, but if we split it, it woulnd't be bad. If we reserve one we have to pay an extra $9 so I say we just reserve it down there. I think it will only be like 48 for both nights if we get it down there. The only thing is we are going to have to get there asap to reserve it. If its as busy as people are saying they could get taken. I guess we could ask Mike and will to reserve it for us maybe somehow when they get there? I'm not sure how that could work but maybe. What time would you be getting there if you didn't put the snorkle on? I'm planning on being there around 5:30. I have a film class thing from 8am-8pm but I'm going to leave around 11:45 and try to be on the road at 12. Mapquest says 5:23 or something like that. So I will probably be there between 5-5:30 depending on dog stops/gas etc. Truth be told you really don't need a snorkle at uwharee. Yeah, they are cool as hell, but... it could wait. Plus, you'd be giving up a chance at a fresh seafood dinner!! Don't forget to bring your maranades!
I just checked (with the zip code) and its suppose to be partly cloudy on friday and sat and t-storms on sunday. The highs are in the 86 range
