i said in my post that it was only needed if someone put something together wrong, and i had an idiot weld my shifter, and it broke. leason learned, dont let idiots weld on your truck, it will come back to haunt you. anyway, i got home alright, i just had to use the stub the was left where it broke.

I'm driving from Hickory with a bunch of people (10 or so) on friday around 1:00. We will be camping between the intersetion of Rocky Mount/Daniel and the parking lot where you can pay. I think its the same lot we took the group shot at last time. I think these people mostly drive jeeps. I'd say if youre looking to stay up till about 1 in the morning and do a "little" partying then come on down. I just dont want someone to get mad if they decide to camp with us and they dont get to bed before 1. The last thing i want is to be on someones bad side. Ive never stayed at this spot but they say that its pretty cool. They told me its a pretty heavily traveld part of the trail so you get to check out all the rigs.

I got tools and a hi lift, and a winch (bad selenoid), Matt will bring his rig and leave it at the parking lot or camp site. He also has a Hilift and tools. The welder might not be a bad idea, cause I tack welded one of my sliders and forgot before I unplugged the welder and moved. Might be fixed if I get a dryer cord long enough to reach......I have gringed rocks already and the slider slightly moves...I need new gears in my transfer case cause of Randy's R&P screw ups....It makes a gargling sound, I think I am gonna get duel transfer cases with 4.7 gears. It SHOULD make it through this Trip.
Wolf, your not having fun unless you break something.......

I have a propane grill that came with my BFGs, Alchohol and of course the 2 trail dogs, My dad broke my Marmot tent poles.....

disconect the blue plug on the driver side transfercase, you can tape the ends if you want. The plug is a little hard to push but that like all OEM connections. It's that simple.

If that's the case, then I've had lots of fun in the last few months...

Breaking @ Uhwarrie is like breaking in a parking lot... you can't really justify it, unless you're doing something stupid.

If you aren't being stupid what's the point of having fun in the woods away from the real world..... I'm sure we can find a line to break stuff.....

dude, you have manual hubs. . . its the same thing. just spin the knob and bam, 2wd low. its not really much more than a novelty thing anyway. . . unless you had a full time front locker and REALLY needed low range on the pavement or something

i dont think doing something stupid is called justification, its called an excuse. I hope you are actively searching for more beef in the axle department with those big ass tires in your future, or you'll need to bring 4 sets of spare birfs to every trip, fatass

I have a set of the " new " Bobby Longs in the gear bag.. we'll see how those do.... I haven't tweaked any stockers yet, just 3 pairs of the older CV Unlimited's...

The ONLY line you should even come close to breaking something on should be somewhere in the rock garden area of Rocky Mount... and that's pushing it... everything else should be cake for us all.

If I'm going to break something, it had better be somewhere more impressive and/or challenging than Uhwarrie. I'll give you guys an updated trail report after this weekend w/ all those cute little Zukes...

I'm bringing my gas grill Weber Q , but there are also bbqs at the camp grounds. Sounds like a plan to me! I'll bring the wistishire or how ever you spell it. Glad to see there will be another winch on the trail with us. You can never have too many of those.

Jermey, I'm just finding a way to morn over my 3rd gen and a factory locker, plus I'm still not use to this manual hub thing, I never know the advantages of them(except gas milage, guess I better start learning now.

As for breakage I can't afford any of that at this stage in the game and I think Uwharrie is about as tame as it gets, I'm with J, I rather break somewhere more extream, like Lower #2 at Tellico, that at least makes for a better story. Of course breakage at Tellico usually comes along with a roll over story. .

Sounds like we are ready for this trip, wish we had at least one of the BIG two driving. Jermey and Matt are both down for this one, I'll be there with my 31's open diffed and an oil burning 22RE for everyone to enjoy the show.

I call being in front of scott!

Hey, what do you guys think of letting a JGC join the group for the trail rides? Hes got atleast 4"-6" of lift, arb bumper and sliders. He is a super nice guy and actaully almost got a 4Runner when he got his Jeep, but it came down to the 4Runner being more expensive and the jeep was loaded. There is a prerunner taco around town that just did a SAS that I need to find to see if he can/wants to join. Its one MEAN truck. I just don't want to make the drive all by my self if I can't help it.

Are you going to bring your welding stuff chris?

Edit: Made a site for the run Click Here
