ok so there is a guy on here who works at whirly ball up in lynwood (?) hes got a 4runner. but anyways he works there and he said if we could get 10 people or more to go that he could give us a 50% discount or a free half hour!!!! i say we set a date and see if we can get 10 people for the first 4ROC Day O' FUN!! what do you guys think? maybe incorperate it into our september meeting????

I think that would be a blast. Since we've already got the meeting set for this month, we could do it for a future meeting or just as a get-together.

 

yeah i would say just as a get together some time in sept. it would be nice if we could decide on a date tonight so that i could send it out with this "newsletter" about the meeting on the 27th. i propose friday evening of the 12th? any opinions on that? i just pulled that out of the air. let me know!

Have any of you guys played Whirlyball before? I've never heard of it. I love bumper cars but combining that with catching and throwing would mean....well, you'd all probably think I was less than coordinated (maybe even a bit retarded).

I dunno about the one here, but in Chicago, the WB places had full bars and you were encouraged to drink before going out onto the playing field and smashing into your opponents.

(yes, I know that drinking could not be encouraged or condoned at this get-together)

FYI... Groups from 0-10 people would be $157.91 (including tax) for one hour if you go before 6pm on a weekday. After 6pm the price goe sup to $190.57.

So the discount that Kevin's looking at is worthwhile.

I'm up for it depending on when the date ends up being. The next couple of weeks are pretty busy around here.
