This thread got a little out of hand several hundred posts ago.
To try and keep everything straight and to separate out the meat of the various NE threads, I developed a website with all of the relevant information. Take a look at http://www.buyerbeware.ws to see the site.
All of the information from all of the threads on all of the sites is there. Or at least the parts that I thought were most important. The site does not contain post-for-post retelling of the NE story. If you want the original posts, go to the original source. I wrote all of the articles on the site (except the testimonials) in order to better organize the information and to publish it into easily digestible pieces.
Hopefully this will help the new reader come up to speed on and get a better understanding of all the issues.
If someone could please post this information to T4R.org and TTORA, I would appreciate it greatly.

BTW, the site isn't static. If you have something to contribute (a testimonial, expert opinion, layman opinion, etc.) just shoot me a message.

This Thread lost track and purpose. Anyone new to this forum or thread
or someone being warned about NE would only see every 2nd or 3rd post being Rocky. The Disgruntled X employee out for vengeance (we know better... But the rest of the world doesn't)
I say pass this web page on and post it up in as many places as possible.
Once again Rocky I apologise I don't mean to offend you just stating how I see things.

Kickaha,
Great job. I agree that this thread has been beating a dead horse for quite awhile. This is a nice way to sum it all up. Now hopefully this thread will die a quick and painless death.

Tracy, please don't delete anything. All of the information you provided was invaluable. I think they just meant that it would be difficult for a newcomer to digest everything in this thread. But, without your posts, there would be much less to digest at all.
So thanks!
BTW, bulldog’s testimonial is now up on buyerbeware.ws. Who’s next?

Okay, someone has been deleting posts. Whoever it is is doing a GREAT disservice to this site and every 4Runner owner everywhere. Please stop.

Rocky,
Good grief, have a little backbone, will ya? One guy criticizes you and then you pull your posts? Do you really believe that removing your posts will take the sting out of the criticism? And at what expense?
Its just one guy's opinion!!!
Kickaha:
what a great website you made at www.buyerbeware.ws! Big thumbs up to ya. You are doing the off-road community a big service. Where can I donate some funds to help with your monthly server costs?
Also, i'll try to contribute something for your website too.
Thanks,
Bob

Thanks to everyone for the compliments and contributions to the site. Don’t worry about the costs, it’s taken care of (but thanks!) If anyone wants to do anything, maybe post to other forums you’re a member of. I’ve made posts to yotatech, ttora, titantalk, and nissanforums.info. Still waiting on a new account from t4r. And someone over at an xterra forum noticed on titantalk and posted on that forum. So word is spreading.
Now just to get it to come up first when someone searches Google for “Nitrous Enterprises”. Spblat’s article comes up first right now, so at least the word is getting out there.
And the NE train(wreck) rolls on….

Kicka, thanks for the fantastic website you made.
News needs to get out on this.
Soon, I bet Google will pick up your site.

Corey did you notice that NE is still listed under the HBOSS and Yotatech.com webpage?? I thought somebody was going to resolve that one.

The site will get picked up quicker and rank higher the more sites that link to it. Most modern search engines have the number and "quality" of links to a site as a weighted part of their algorythm.

That was me over at XOC. Since the new X is based on the Titan platform ...figured now was a good opportunity to warn the X community.

Nitrous Enterprises - It's a Warning Label
There have been a few developments since BuyerBeware.ws was first published two weeks ago. The following summary is from the BuyerBeware newsletter, issue #1. New newsletters will be published whenever there is enough new material to publish, but probably not more than twice a month.
There is a lot more going on in trying to get NE to stop producing defective parts, so there should be a lot more to come.
BUYERBEWARE.WS NEWSLETTER, Issue #1, March 31, 2005
1. NEW COMPLAINTS FILED—New complaints have been filed against Nitrous Enterprises with the FTC (Ref No. 5858482), the Better Business Bureau (Case No. 22038008), and RipoffReport.com ( http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff136870.htm ).Å The “How You Can Help” and “Getting A Refund” articles have been updated with this information.
Other complaints are being researched and prepared for other agencies.
2. Nitrous Squeaks—bulldog-yota from YotaTech submitted a testimonial on 03/17/2005.Å In addition to the many pictures of the quality Nitrous Enterprises parts, he also submitted a PDF containing a lengthy email correspondence with Nitrous Enterprises.Å It’s a very interesting read and gives some insight into the professionalism of the people behind Nitrous Enterprises.
http://www.buyerbeware.ws/index.php/...trous_squeaks/
3. Used NE Parts Wanted—If you have any used Nitrous Enterprises parts that you are thinking of throwing in the trash where they belong, please don’t.Å I’ll pay the postage if you send them to me.Å We are talking about possible life-threatening situations.Å Nitrous Enterprises is manufacturing and selling defective parts.Å They need to be stopped.Å Please help to stop them.
http://www.buyerbeware.ws/index.php/..._parts_wanted/
4. They Don’t Make Stainless Like They Used To—A Nitrous Enterprises customer sent along pictures of their rusted shock re-locators.Å According to this customer, these parts were on the truck for two months.Å According to Nitrous Enterprises, the re-locators are made of stainless steel.Å With over 60 different grades of stainless steel to choose from, does it surprise anyone that Nitrous Enterprises rooted around the bottom of the barrel until they found one that rusted so easily?Å Like their “grade zero” Butter Bolts, Nitrous Enterprises has apparently found some “grade zero” stainless steel.
http://www.buyerbeware.ws/index.php/...sty_stainless/
5. Their Photoshop Skills Match Their Engineering Skills—It was brought to my attention that Nitrous Enterprises is STILL using Photoshopped pictures of a lifted 2005 Tacoma to advertise their products.Å It seems pretty clear that they see nothing wrong with such practices.Å It also seems pretty clear that you can’t really trust anything that Nitrous Enterprises tells you.
