I don't mean to belittle Nate's very fine fab work, but a brace is not terribly difficult to make, certainly if you have access to a welder.
Look at the 2nd image in post #44. It's not pretty, but will do the job.
I made something roughly like this many years ago and it has held up well.

plus I'm not sure what the metal bushing mod has to do with going LT... you're going to still need the same idler anyway, and its going to see even more leverage/abuse once you do. If of course you go w/ the TC unit then the metal-bushing upgrade here is meaningless.

It is unfortunate that the options for purchasing off the shelf upgrade parts for these vehicle are getting pretty limited, but lets face it, this is a diminishing market.

Nah, I don't take any offense or feel belittled. I encourage people to build their own version. I discontinued because it wasn't worth the time and effort to make a few dollars profit and only sell a dozen a year. What I would really like to see is Moog, Duralast, Napa, Three Five, or what ever MFG out there, is to build a beefed up mass produced Idler Arm and not just copy the flawed design. I can't imagine it adding it adding much to the cost either. If Duralast can make its current junk for $35 just think what it could make for an extra $10. People have no problem spending $35 for a new unit, then another $39 for a brace. $74 is still a good price compared to a TC unit. By the way, I like the TC unit with exception of having to drill out the taper on the centerlink and of course the high cost. Those of you who have built your own brace post a photo.

 

I want to buy Blazeland Idler arm brace, it just has a awesome look, works as intended, and on a great budget. I really hope I can find one,better yet 2) out there.
