Pretty happy with how it has turned out. Learned a few things along the way. Like how nice it will be to use a chop saw instead of a side grinder for the next one I make.
Wow man I really like the look of that great job! I'm usually not a fan of ARB style bumpers but yours is actually pretty sick, Its not too bulky lookin. Also, what tires are those that you're running? I can't figure out for the life of me what they are.

Thanks for the compliment six_stringer. They are the Federal M/T's. Haven't had them very long but what I have done with them they do rather well. They clear out fast and dig in deep with the big gaps between the tread and they are relatively cheap for a m/t.

Love it want to make another one and ship it to Colorado

Here is what it looks like in the CAD program that I designed it in.

Mock up of the bumper to make sure it would fit snug around the grill.

Template waterjetted out

Sitting on there all bent up.

Welded up and checking out how Ill mount it on there.[/quote]

Haven't got a cost down yet since I will be moving and don't really know any of my suppliers yet. Ill have all that set once I get settled in figure out all my costs and whatnot. I will definitely do them with any different accessories you want or don't want.

I have been thinking that if I can get my process of making them down well I will be able to make custom ones to different designs that people might be thinking of. Instead of just having one standard bumper design I want to be able to make them to the customers design as well as have base models. I don't know if there is really anyone that does that but with the capabilities of 3D CAD packages and CNC cutting I think it will be entirely possible. It would be a bit more expensive and take a little longer to get but in the end you would be able to have a custom bumper that you designed.

Any thoughts?

yeah I have done a bit of work with CAD but if you have the set up you should be able to bust out a few bumpers per week if everything is ideal. Well I will be here when you are ready. PS I think that giving people the chance to really build their own via CAD or even just customize a base model is a great way to start.

i like your bumper, similar to what i am going to build. i personally would have make the corners a little more slim and the front hooks stronger. i like the 1 peace sliced and folded over that is pretty slick.

Ya I meant for it to be more slim on the sides. I might change that before I make another one along with the heavy duty shackle rings.

Ya they are actually 5-ton rated forged steel so they should be good enough for at least the kind of stuff I will use them for.

Well I got tired of waiting for the powder coating so I just put a bed liner on it. I am going to give a the rest of the day in the sun before I put it on the truck and I will get some more pics then.

Came out pretty nice. Only thing I don't really like is welds around the base of the rings, next time they will be cut out ones that will I can smooth to a nice radius.
