Make a quality bumper at a reasonable price and control what YOU can control.

You are letting the tail wag the dog bro. Quit worrying about the other guy.

In the supply and demand market, quality products have high demand typically regardless of price. IE iPhones.

Thanks for the advice waskillywabbit. This thread is just supposed to see what kind of reaction people had to the style of my designs and if a business doing it is even possible. I know I still have a ways to go before anything is sold.

Found some clips I made work for the loops. Just need to cut the hitch receiver tube to length and finish welding the pieces together!

those rings may work for a trailer, but i would put d-ring (shackle) mounts in their place just for the fact that they'll be dual purpose for the people who would need that extra bit. plus it's a good selling point to have more versatillity. just my opinion, and i like your skills.

I agree, but I think the rings look pretty sweet just because they are different.

I agree that the shackles mount ones would be better. I will have them cut out from now on but I just couldn't wait any longer to get it finished up so I just went with them. I have ropes with the some quick connect clips on them anyway so they will work good for what I do with them.

I'd seriously consider buying the cad file from you, and have it cut locally. "A One Off Only!"

Think about it....

I would really like to do that if I just had some way of ensuring that someone wouldn't just take it and build and sell them. Ill keep thinking about it though because I am sure there is some way to do something like that.

i dont know the tech of the paperwork world, but could you patent the cad design and cut the pieces, box them up and ship it as a weld it yourself kit? that would'nt require much labor on your part outside of pickup, packaging and shipping. merely a thought. may also save a bit on shipping not having such a bulk item? maybe wabbit can give input on that.

You should incorporate your self or form a llc and make rhe design property of that company remember a corporation os nothing more than a legal document!

Has to be some sort of legal document... Then for a fee we could buy the plans and that would eliminate shipping...

Got it finished up and ready for some powder coating. Think I will adjust it a little me so it fits just a bit more snug up against the grill.

Pretty happy with how it has turned out. Learned a few things along the way. Like how nice it will be to use a chop saw instead of a side grinder for the next one I make.

Looks really good. Last bumper i made all i had was an electric grinder so i know how you feel. I think it would also look good with some bedliner spray instead of powder coat.

The powder coat I am going to use will basically look like a bed liner.
