are your 33's rubbing on your 2nd Gen?

well mine are. a lot. im just looking to get some other guys with 33's to post their rim to fender measurements in the front. currently im running 16" rim to fender in the front and having rubbin issues on the pinch weld. im just having a really hard time deciding if i should trim and pound or get a 1" BL. i figure trim and pound is free, but i wouldn't mind a little bit more lift as well. hmmmm

Probably need to pound/trim regardless. Hammer the pinch weld seam flat and trim back the plastic wheel well liner. If it still rubs, then consider a 1" body lift, more info:

yeah, i think the 10.5's make a huge difference rubbing wise, but i have 12.5's i guess i should have said that.

33 12.5 Mickey Thompson Baja HP's 3" body lift. Chopped rear (no ass sag now) Skyjacker shocks.

Hardly any rub, only when in full compression with wheel in full turn.

BJ Spacers and cruiser coils soon to fix this problem (I hope)

33x10.50 BFG All-Terrains rub only on passenger side on the pinch weld while turning very tight and under full compression. Pinch weld is hammered to all hell, so a BFH is needed to clearance it more. Total Chaos kit is almost ready to be installed and that is my solution (axle forward ~1").

I like the 33x10.50s, run them on my 1st gen. Fits stock wheels, less likely to rub, cost less, and work about as well as a 12.50 tire:

Kevin,

Im running about 16.5-17" rim to fender. I have pounded my pinch weld a bit too, and I dont rub at all. Full compression, wheels fully turned, and there is still no rubbing. Just get a BFH and go at that fender!!

I really like my 10.50’s. They get me where I want to go and back.

I am running 33x12.50 on 10.5 rockcrawlers. I have OME shock SDORI BJ spacers and little crank on the T-bars and a nip and tuck on the fenders welds. I have zero rubbing. The pound and trim should do it for you.

Sorry dude, but that's incorrect. The Chaos kit actually doesn't move it forward. That is part of the reason I went with my JD fab kit. The shop that did it has put on a ton of chaos and JD kits. I was concerned about rubbing and was informed that the JD kit move sthe tire forward 3/4" and the chaos none.

YES, YES, and YES

Same rubbing driver's side here with 33 x 12.5 BFG MTs. I just got my stainless steel 1.25" body lift hardware from Roger Borwn this week and hope to install it this weekend. had to bail on a trip to Paragon Adventure Park because the tires rub under typical driving conditions. Might rip my fender off under full compression
Edit: I have a problem with my alignment that is the source of some of the rubbing. The lower control arm bushings are siezed so Toyota couldn't properly adjust the caster after I installed the BJ spacers. From what I have been told, the lack of caster adjustment is causing the driver's side wheel to be slightly behind the pass side (closer to the rear of the fender and pinch weld). This also causes the truck to pull to the left. Another project to add to the list.l
