What size spacer to level?

http://markheffron.netfirms.com/4runner.html

Hey guys,

I installed OME890 Springs-Rear and OME-880 Springs-Front on my 1996 4runner. The front is sitting a good 2" lower than the rear. What size spacers would you recommend to bring it level. Any other ideas?

Thanks

well since the front is sitting 2 inches lower than the back.....you should probably get a 2 inch spacer. i have cornfed's 2 inch spacer up front on my runner and havent had any problems with it. www.cornfedsuspension.com hope that helps.

I would be happy if mine sat like that, makes it possible to carry necessities without being noticable.
Further, I think that it was designed to sit that way for that purpose.

It doesn't look that bad in that picture....A bit more like a "dragster" on a flat surface

I think 2" would be too much. I put on 2 sets of spacers that Andy makes and got 1.5" of lift. From stock this gives exactly 3". Anymore than that and you will run into issues with CV angle and control arm contact. Mine sits almost exactly level.

I will post pics as soon as I can get my camera charged.

Mick,

Did you do the spacer install yourself?

yup, took about an hour. I have done several runner lifts so I am pretty familiar with the suspension. I could work up a write up if you are considering going this route. Andy might have one too. Its pretty easy...the hardest part is compressing the coils to put the new studs in.

Here is my leveled 4runner

I don't really have a before picture because the only one I have is in my sloped driveway and this makes it look level.
