I installed a bracket lift on my runner. Havent even driven it yet and i dont like it.
Although plenty of people run them without issues, so it wont hurt anything.

And SOMEONE will say something about running 35s on ifs. Nothing wrong with that either. Just be prepared to replace parts alot sooner, and carry spares on the trails(if you are actually wheeling it.

Personally if i was in your situation i would run 31s/33s stock height, or with bj spacers untill i could afford a sas.

35 12.50 15's will fit on a stock IFS with no lift with 3.75 backspacing on the wheels with a small fenderwell massage. Or so I've been told.

33's will fit with no rubbing at all. Or at least they should. Assuming the correct backspacing anyway. What that is not sure, but there is a ifs wheel tire size thread ya might wanna check out.

a 10 wide wheel is not the best thing for airing down a 10.5 tire, but should work on with a 12.5" tire but not as well as an 8" and 12.5 tire.

if he's not willing to cut/pound some pinchwelds to clear tires, I doubt he's gonna want to cut the upper control arms to put the ball joint spacer in. And I think you have to cut two tabs or something like that for the bracket lifts as well, but I could be wrong about that.

I had to cut the stock a arm mounting location off my 4runner. But thats because i was to lazy to drop the diff completly

And if he iant willing to do that stuff, i dont know how he will ever get the balls to hack off the ifs for a sas!

Tried to stay on the subject, just pointing out the need to cut the upper control arms for the spacers. Somewhat assumed you didn't want to cut anything up except to do an SAS. Sorry.

But anyway, pounding a pinch weld isn't gonna change the look of the fenders.

I kno I'm just trying to keep the ride somewhat decent and a Lil more ground clearance to do some mild wheeling I'm not gonna do the sas till I move back to Washington state there isn't to many wheeling spots in Ohio so I need something dependable and a Lil more tuff for my camping trips plus I got some 529s for free from a friend and they are for the ifs diff so might as well use em but 31s will be to small as its my daily driver

you could get a sas kit for that. although in the end the sas would cost more, you will be kicking yourself for buying an ifs lift instead of going to a solid axle. just my $.02
