Running rear shock relocation bar with 4 link??

I just installed some 12" MX-6 shocks on the front and rear of my Runner, and am not happy with the amount of uptravel I have in the rear now.

I am running long side LC coils, All-pro upper links, 4" panhard bracket with adjustable panhard bar.

I went with the 12" because the 10" would only allow about 2 inches of droop fully extended...not good enough.

I am looking at getting a relocation bar like this....

But I have only seen this on leaf sprung trucks...anyone want to chime in?? Pics would be appreciated. I want to be able to use all 12"

Inboarding shocks, especially in a inverted 'V' shape is one of the worse things that you can do regarding suspension and body stability.
You want to outboard then shocks, that is mount then as close to the wheel as possible and mount them as vertically as possible.
See my post in this thread:

I wasnt going for the / \ setup. I want to run the relocation bar so I can run the 12" shocks and use all the travel. I may need to cut part of the spring pad to make it work.

I caught it on PBB to.

What are you going to do with a panhard? Even if you hack the coil buckets, which is going to be a mess, the panhard is right where you want that bar to be on the passenger side.

Get rid of that stuff dude, come on. The time and energy to make this bandaid work could be better spent on making it work well.

Make sure that you completely cycle your rear suspension and measure to be sure that the shocks will work.
At max droop you do not want the springs loose.
There should always be exerting some pressure against the spring pads.

Also your sway bar (rear) may well limit you more than the shocks.

No, this has been established. The rear swaybar on these trucks doesn't do anything.

I think no one can read my posts, thanks.

I understand the bandaid issue...the relocation bar will work when I get around to the leaf swap too. My goal right now is to run longer shocks in the rear. I look at the prerunners that have shocks coming through the bed, and want that...just a smaller scale.

If you have the rear sway bar on, then they DO do something, at least on 4Runners.
I just swapped out the rear springs on mine today (on a lift) and the rear sway bar does limit full droop, without a doubt.
It's almost impossible to get the rear coils out without disconnecting the rear sway bar.

Also keep in mind that on the four link system that the runner's have that the passenger side upper link will hit the gas tank and limit your full droop on that side. Just my .02
