Rear anti sway bar on a 2nd Gen

Hi Guys

Can any one tell me is it safe to ride around for a couple of days with my rear anti sway bar removed?
I had to fit a new bracket today that holds the swaybar to the axle and managed to snap the bolts in thier holes so I gotta have them drilled out and re tapped. What a bummer

Anyways I removed the whole bar and was wondering if this would be ok for a while

Any advice appreciated

Cheers

Luke

You should be fine. Just take it easy around the turns until you get used to it. I drove with my addco front bar installed and no rear bar for a day while waiting for a bracket to arrive. Around fast turns it can be scary b/c the rear body rolls so much, but with reduced speed it is no problem.

When you remove the broken bolt, remember that the rear sway bar bracket bolts get torqued to only 14ft/lbs (on my 1999 at least).

If it helps, I took my rear bar off last week. It rides just fine. Drove to EC4RJ with it off and purposly hit some tight turns with it and diddnt notice a difference.
