Rear shock Q's 1st gen bj spacer

OK, I searched every friggin thread I could find. what rear shocks are you running with your 1.5 lift (bj spacers/shackles/AAL's) I find numbers for 2nd gens only, not the double eyelet rears for a first gen...

Specificaly I'm looking for Rancho or pro comp, I notice my rear's limit travel about 2 inches..

Thank you for your input

my truck is lifted 2" in the rear with shackles, and i have stock regualr shocks on there... nothing fancy, actually i got the cheapest oens possible, and thye still work way better than my blown old ones did.... i do know for a fact that they severly hinder my suspension travel.....

honestly, all the offorad shocks unless you get into custom bilsteins or the pro comp mx6 with reservoir or adjustable ranchos are pretty much all the same....

If you know your shocks are 2" too short, look up the shock that is that much longer in extended length:

Yeah I had the same problem. Somewhere along the way I got the impression from a site (sales) that the 5144 was for 0-2" of lift but when I got them they were only about 1/2 inch longer than the ones I took off. Fortunately, I was able to resell them here on the board and went with the 5143's which are a couple inches longer as you can see on Roger's link. I ended up finding them cheaper too at $39.something each. If your interested. let me know and I'll see if I can dig up the link/name/invoice or something for you.

I found the 5143s were about the longest rear shock you could stuff into the stock shock mounts and still get full compression:
