I am just starting out 4 wheeling and I am looking for some cheaper mods that will help my truck out. I already have exhaust, and a brush gaurd. Iwas thinking K&N intake or somethign along those lines. Let me know what you guys think.

How do you want to help your truck? Do you want better trail performance, or better street performance. The exhast and any type of intake mod doesn't do much for you on the trail. If you trail performance, your first mod should probably be some decent trail tires. A good trail AT at minimum, but MTs would be prefered.

Re: Next Step

introductory special price- $199.00 for a rear Aussie Locker. It's a drop in unit so gears don't have to be done- pretty cheap- HUGE BANG for the buck

Well, we're not sure what kind of vehicle you are modding. But I'd say start with a simple SAS with dual ARB's, a Warn9500xI, custom cage, and 37" MTr's. Ya know, the simple stuff to start. Then you can move on to those difficult K&N filters and even more difficult intake doohickies. Dont forget the drivethingamabops.
LEt us know what ur workin on, and we'll go from there.

Yep, we are getting about 500 posts a day, if not more.
Not 500 topics, but over 500 answers from the membership.

A post can end up on page 4, 5, 6, or even further by the end of the day.

Lockers are not something to be installed by the amateur without good skills, tools and an understanding. No offense, but if you're wondering what lockers are, you won't be installing them.

I stock differential is what we call on open diff. The power from the driveline is transfered from to one wheel or the other, but the differential. When one wheel loses traction however, all the power is transfered to the free spinning wheel, which is pretty much useless.

A locker transfers power to both wheels equally. So, if a tire get's up in the air, power will still get transfered to the tire with traction.
