My buddy's MS Zuk, for grins!

My buddy has this megasquirt/megajolt zuk, he was over helping me with my 4.3 swap today.
So I took some pictures to post up, its not a Toy but its kind of cool and I thought ya'll might enjoy them. It runs VERY good ( power to weight) but will beat you to death-really stiff! The color is from mixing 2 parts yellow with 1 part red.

120+ hp sprint motor from japan-note the MS relay box, MS made easy.

I had a tintop samurai and it had lockers, t-case gearing, rocksliders, bumpers, and a whole lot more! It was from Colorado, so it was totally rust free which is impossible to find in Wisconsin! It wheeled unbelievably but it felt sooooo tipy all the time, the only reason i got rid of it.

I like his Sami but no way would I trade, the only advantage it has is shorter wheel base.
My 4runner is way more stable, smoother on the trails and I can carry all my camping gear and some of his- like I did last summer.

gotta love those hoods.
texcat: the shorter wheelbas sucks most of the time, if you can drive you can usually pick good lines fer yer long wheelbase and it will also help you over step ups and what not (longer time with 2 tires on flat)

I agree I think the only advantage is on really tight switchbacks where I have to make a 2 point turn and he doesnt. But that happened maybe 5 times last summer in a week of wheelin the trails around Lake City / Ouray area. I will gladly trade a few turns for all the other benefits of my 4runner.

Nice Sammy. That's one of the cleanest Zuks Ive ever seen. Usually people hack them up bad and lift them outrageously.

Nice looking sammy. If I'd dump the 1.6 8V with dual webers in mine for that swift motor!!
