my 32's are rubbing, what gives?

So when I disconnect my swaybars, my tires are rubbing on the limited flares.

Before Steve tells me to get rid of the limited stuff, I'm gonna say once and for all that it isn't going anywhere.

I know that the front is only lifted 2.25" and the back is a hair over 2.5" - so should I get a spacer for the fronts to get it closer to equal? Will that be enough to counteract the rubbing? What size spacer do I need? (does a 1/4" spacer = 1/4" more lift?)

Also... why is this only a problem with the disconnects removed? When I put em back on all is well. Weird.

Steve - when can I pick up that panhard bar thingamabob?

Mike (group buy) rubs too. Get used to it.

That last PanHard shiped off to Virgina. I'll make another batch.

You get more overall articulation. That fraction of an inch up front is making the difference.

Rumor has it that Schaefer has a Toyota front solid axle these days........................

most guys with LTD flares rub if they WHEEL it.

the oversized flares cuts down on the clearance in the fenders.

no matter the lift or wheels or whatever garbage.

LTD + Wheeling = RUB.

No. The 1999 4Runner is still the trail rig. It's way more built than this FJ will ever be.
