Installing rear tow hooks from 85-93 S10 blazer
#1
My buddy gave me some tow hooks that came from 85-93 4wd S10 Blazers and trucks. So I have no hooks in the rear of my rig but some factory ones in the front. Well most hooks are either flat, to small or really can't fit them in certain areas. Well if you are still using your factory rear c-channel bumber brackets then these will for you. I have attached 3 pictures to show you were I put them. I decided to put them on the brackets cause it is stronger and I dont have to worry about yanking on my bumper when I get stuck or go to pull someone out. They sit out of the way and can't really see them. You can get these hooks just about in any junkyard since their is abundance of these trucks in yards. All you have to do is drill two 1/2" holes. They have a plate on the other side that has two holes tapped for the bolts. These are part of the factory hooks.

I am sure by now you have used them at least once.
How did they work for you??
I have given up on hooks of any type to much of a pain to keep things from falling out at the worse possible time.

Missed that one back in the day... looks good ... I'd be concerned that in a deep stuck recovery you might yank the whole bumper mount right off though... like a previous poster asked any report on how they actually worked for you if you had to use them?
