I had a winch on my old smitty built bumper.

I used a universal flatbed winch plate to mount the winch to the bumper. took some modification.
Then I had to beef the heck out of the smitty built mounting points to the frame, but when it all came down to it I still bent the bumper mounts.

I ran this setup for about a year then I just got sick of bending the bumper back up after using my winch.

dont put a winch on a smitty or you will be watching it go up the trail with part of your xmember attached.

i used a tow bar on one of mine and it tore the front of the xmember off it has a linear bolt pattern which is stupid and weak as hell

if you plan on fabricating supports and different mounts for it it may be able to support a winch

there is all kinds tube style and plate syle, addicted offroad has really cool tube style at a decent price, trail gear, marlin crawler, plate style you have tjm, warn, arb and alot others thats just off the top of my head. And then you have the choice of custom fab like what I did here https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f88/...-build-164886/
