What kind of new Rims

I have a 03 tacoma and am looking to buy new 16inch rims. I run 31/10.5 BFG Mud Terrains. I have heard different ideas on what kind to get. Steel or Aluminum, I want to stay with the chrome or brushed aluminum look. Some people say to stick with steel because its stronger for wheelin than aluminum. Others say aluminum is plenty strong. Any ideas.

I can only speak off of personal experience........steel bends and aluminum breaks off if the rim takes a hard shot.
I still run aluminum because I like the look better and my rigs see way more street than trails.
If I was doing a trail rig I'd do steel, most likely if they were bent you'd still have a seal....although I did nail a curb once with a Trans Am at 60mph and broke off a 1/4 of my aluminum wheel lip and amazingly didn't break the seal.

Forged aluminum is stronger than cast also.

Both can bend and break. Most aluminum wheels are lighter. Steel are usualy less expensive. How much do you want to spend and what design do you want. Those are your concerns. They race both but mostly aluminum because of weight.

depends on whut you are up to with your truck....see where u use it the most and cater to your own needs with the info from here and other searches....i like aluminum in a top quality for their unsprung weight but i also like steel for their reliability in the crazy rides....idk, but you do[as far as your truck goes]
