AC Air Compressor

This is nothing new but : I am turning my AC compressor into an on-board air source. I have a 4.3 with a Harrison Compressor, but this should work for any AC compressor. My preliminary tests filled my 36" x 12.5" tire from 0-30 psi inside 35 seconds @ 900 rpm. Another test gave me 300 psi in a closed circuit @ 2200 rpm. I will be using a pre-oiler and a post oil seperator, pressure switch, check valve, safety valve, and my existing 5gal tank (I already have CO2 as onboard air).

If anyone is interested, I will post pics, soon as I get all the final fittings. If not interested then let the thread die.

No way, post it. This would be a cool mod for anybody to do. Right now I run this air compressor that I hook up to my battery with clips. It takes awhile and I donot mind waiting, but faster is better when it comes to some things.

Ac

I am figuring 5-7 CFM at 80 PSI ok. Waiting till it stops raining to finish comp. output.

I will run the swith at 90 to 140 PSI.

just make the discharge line as long as possible with the coalescing filter also as far as possible from the compressor to allow the air to cool a bit.
